ah but you see that is where you are wrong. You are buying the disk, not the media on the disk. The media on the disk you are only being licensed to use. . . in conjunction with that disk. Loose or damage your disk and well, you violate your licensing agreement with them, because you no longer can use the media in conjunction with the disk.
Hey I didn't say it was right, but would you rather pay 3-5 times the price you pay now to have that disk so that you can have the rights to use the media on any medium that you wish?
"1. Have sound. If it does your so forever block from my browser and wallet its not even funny"
Can you tell that to all the stupid silly people on myspace that think everyone wants to hear the same crappy song that they like, just because you view their page?
Think of museums or state parks. You place yourself in a posistion that your doors are open for all to come in. Some charge admissions for enterance while other's do not. Maybe that park of museum decides that their method of paying for the services they provide is to put billboards up all around. Does that mean that if I enjoy the freedom of eating lunch under a shade tree in the park or I decide to walk through your "free" museum and look at all the paintings, that I also have to be forced to look at the billboard you placed there?
If you want to use that method of income then so be it, but don't expect me to look. There are other methods. You could charge a fee for access to your site. You could ask for donations. You can do all sorts of things.
While I agree with most of your comments, I find it interesting that you use Christians in your title, but your references are for 2 Scientologists.
I guess it's more sensational to pick on those "Christians". Your title spews flamebait, and I have the mod points to label it, but won't waste one. Yet your modderated insightful, and I'll probably get modded as flamebait for pointing it out.
If your going to attack a religion that you don't like, at least back it up. But we all need to sensational titles. You should start writing for slashdot.
Not everyone likes it, but it is good for Apple. Just keep it under wraps. Let a few trickle leaks out that don't really tell you anything other then. . . a name (maybe) and that it will be way cool!
This works 2 fold. When it ships it catches all the competition and customers by storm, and if it doesn't ship, at least all the leaks created company hype.
Because iTunes on your computer is much to difficult right? Because it is worth 5 times the cost to get it now on your phone and only on your phone and not be able to have it anywhere else. Because it makes sence to download it to your phone, more then it makes sence to save a lot of money and just do it at home from your computer, and import it into iTunes, then sync your iPhone.
Or maybe because you have a phone that does not have bluetooth, or a USB connection so you can sync it with your computer. In which case, you should have bought a more expensive phone, because the 5 times the money per song download will quickly add up.
That seemily was a very un-educated of you. The company I work for is a distrubution house for this product and others. You can buy Nic-lite in a number of airports around the country (USA) already. LA-X was one of the first. And they are being sold in those little stands right by where you board the plane, past the security lines.
There is a product on the market, that has some great promise, to help stop smoking as well as help those who smoke but can't. (Like when you have to take a long flight, or are in the hospital, or any number of other places where smoking is banned.) Check it out. . . http://nicoworldwide.com/
I use them for email, and most all my searches, and well. . . I would drop them too.. . . then again not sure where I would go, really, cause well. . . Google is the next Microsoft. Hard to pick a lesser evil in that debate.
You really don't get it, and that is why you will never make it as a business owner. It's not ripping off the customer if the customer is willing to pay the price you ask. It's good business. Supply and demand. Capitalism. Take your pick.
You think 40% margin is high? It's not. If you want to talk about profit margins, take a look at what the profit margin of a cup of coffee is at the gas station, or the price difference between a 2-liter of Pepsi, and a 20 oz. bottle.
Or better yet. . . Check out the prices of a hot dog and a coke at your next professional sporting event, and compare that with the already huge margin on the same product at your local convience store. Then compare that with the cost you would incure if you purchased a package of franks at your local supermart.
So it cost a fraction more to get the convience of purchasing a per tract, at home song, then it does to drive down to the store and purchase a complete cd (even if you only wanted one song). Hmm. . . who has the bigger profit margins?
I think your just bitter that women don't like you and you can't get a date to save your life. Don't take it out on all the people who actually have families. Tech news is tech news even if it is something you think is just for children.
If you don't know, Pokemon is supposed to be the first online playable game coming out for the Wii. There will be more to come.
1% is a small percentage, and the Brits are all stuck on a small little island, compared to the rest of this big ol world. . . so those don't really sound like "large known bugs" That sounds like those little pesky little gnats. lol

Mod Parent up!
Good show. Kudos.

What ever happened to opt in.
I'm not so sure it is theft.

I'm curious how being against a religion is racist? If they hate a religion and not a race of people how is that termed racist?

Can we call this new Mega-verse, Hell?
God's gotta have plenty of room for all you.
I just want to know why you think they deserve a refund for their ticket?

Say it isn't so. We have a legal right to be involved in illegal activities.

How many times can we blame the President in one slashdot listing?
Cause yeah it's all his fault. Always is. Republican or Democrat makes no difference. It's the President's fault.
Was it really that slow today that they had to put in a political flamewar topic? Was there nothing negative to spin about Microsoft and Apple today?
Stamina - There I said it.
Yeah cause better sound quality wouldn't have anything to do with the additional cost. How silly of me to even think that.
Boy good thing I named mine. . . . "The Snappy"
I wouldn't want a patent fight with Apple.

Let's Blame George Bush and cuss at him. That show's em! Yeah we're real cool, yo!
You are so cool.
You shouold really think before you speak.
Do a little research. I know, I know. . . Typing in Apple.com is way to hard.
So. . . here's the link. http://www.apple.com/macpro/

So get over your pathetic, lonely little self.

I wonder how many people use Yahoo as their search engine. Since they had this article up this morning.
