Actually, it wasn't particularly exotic. It was an NForce mobo with integrated LAN. Problem was that it came out after XP was released. I'm sure I probably wouldn't have encountered the problem were I using an SP1 or SP2 install disc.
The problem here is if your NIC isn't supported by XP out of the box. I've had that happen. Thankfully, I had another computer around that allowed me to grab the driver, burn it to CD, then stick that in the freshly installed box. Without that other computer, I woulda been SOL.
I eventually dropped em both and now just stick to the boatloads of movies my TiVo records (DirecTiVo with all the pay channels. There's a whole lotta great movies out there, especially on Sundance and IFC.)
Ummm, infinite rentals, no due dates, a massive library, and you can rent from your very own chair without ever leaving your house. (Hint: I'm not talking about the brick and mortar Blockbuster.)
IIRC, when Safari was introduced in 2003, Jobs specifically mentioned that the Google search box was there simply because the developers preferred to use Google. There was no financial agreement or anything. Whether or not one came along after that is another story...
I guess it also means that there have never been any topographic or stratigraphic maps of the area made before. If there have been, I'd be interested to see their interpretation of it.
The company could have been started in 1999 and they could've been making that claim in 2001. The 90s were one decade, the 00s are another. Not that I'm defending the practice or saying it's honest or anything. I'm just saying. I mean, it is advertising after all...
Of course, unless Colbert actually comes out at some point in the future and makes known what his intentions were that night, we may never really know.
Yeah. It's a shame that he doesn't have some sort of forum where he can make his voice heard on a regular basis...
I like how you plan to use open source software so that you can then violate someone else's copyright. You do realize that you won't have the rights to distribute the music and lyrics to these songs, don't you? That is unless, of course, you plan to only distribute songs that are in the public domain. In which case, you'll have a fairly small market (yes, I realize there are some instances where this wouldn't be true--church hymns for instance).
Hmmm. I've been modded "flamebait" twice now for asking a perfectly valid question. It seems that some people don't like facing the reality of the situation (not that that comes as any surprise).
Actually, looking at Dell's page they indicate that it's for "select XPS systems." Without going through and custom-configuring a few machines, I'm going to guess that they only offer this option on their higher end (and hence higher revenue) models.
Wow! With a record like that he was destined to work for Microsoft.
I'd like to add that it's a great book. It certainly helped fill in some areas of history that I was always a little fuzzy about.
True true. Unfortunately I couldn't find the CD. But yeah, it ultimately was my own doing...
Hey, thanks for that summary. Saved me from having to come to my own conclusion...

Lawn or MS code? Hmmm. I think i'd rather deal with the lawn.

What's blockbuster got to top that?

You:re telling me!

What, you've never seen a bent spoon before? I have one in my own kitchen, which just further proves the almighty power of Mr. Gellar.
That's better than knowing how to use a colon...

ROR!
This should make his speedrun videos that much more exciting. (And yes, I'm aware you can get the same effect from emus.)

Well, Kramer's gotta make a living somehow...
Why not just install a Windows partition to play games??
Because not every Mac out there magically transformed into an Intel Mac when Apple released Intel hardware.

Hmmm. ALL of my credit card companies ask you to either key or speak your CC# when you call them.
...there will be one more good game for the 360...
I think your use of the word "more" is a bit premature at this time. : p
