"I have no easy way of telling everyone about it" You can send one email, and cc everyone you want to see it! Doesn't get much easier than that. Make a common classes namespace or folder or something and put very reusable stuff in there.

"What about us poor Linux users?" awww boo hoo, the poor Linux users. You knew damn well you wouldn't be compatible with various programs when you installed Linux. You knew you'd have to make some sacrifices to avoid windows. It's a trade off of sorts, so don't bitch when they don't make a Flash plug in for your minority.

Flash is something that is displayed once within the browser. It works perfectly as expected with the back button. When you click back, you go the the previous PAGE. Not what you think was the previous state of the flash app you have in your browser. There is no way to inherently have the Flash plug in "work" with the back button. A developer can implement back button functionality through the way they set up their application though.

  7. terrible on Giving the Gift of Ubuntu Linux for Christmas? · · Score: 1

This is a terrible gift idea. I'm sure your family members are just fine with their current OS, and they're going to hate Ubuntu once you set it up for them. When they buy a digital camera and plug it in, expecting it to work, they will have to call you. When they plug in a printer, they will have to call you. When somebody gives them a CD of some puzzle game they like, it won't work. When they open a word doc, it won't look the same as it did in office. What happened to solitaire? It used to be in the start menu. Why does the interface run so slowly? I bought this landscape designer software, how do I install it on my computer?... I can't? Why not? On my old computer I just put the CD in and it installed. I called the cable company today because my Internet 'went down' and they told me to click on control panel, but I can't find the control panel. Blah Blah Blah. You get the idea, I could go on. Linux is great for some people. But don't force it on others because you think it would be good for them. It probably won't be.

If they were only monitoring whether or not you read an ad "in game", why would they have to have a seperate explanation about installing 3rd party software on your machine. They track whether or not you shoot somebody "in game" and they don't need to have a special tool installed to do that. If this is in fact a seperate program that runs in the background, than it is spyware, and it probably is monitoring you outside of the game as well. Why would they package it as a 3rd party tool instead of just building it into the game.
