Yeah actually my degree was in IT, so I'm kind of working my way into the software engineering field post-graduation. That's probably why I haven't been exposed to specific structures and such. Anything I wasn't taught in the CS courses I did take, I can pick up pretty easily with the help of some of the experienced programmers.
I'm a software engineer, recent graduate, never heard of a B-Tree in my life. I would rather have a question about how to solve a problem. Explain object orientated programming and it's advantages, etc...
I'm not clicking the link because it sounds a lot like PETA propoganda. Joaquin Phoenix is a PETA advocate, so I trust nothing he says. He refused to wear real leather in 'walk the line' and insisted on wearing pleather. What a lame ass.
I don't 'need' to hunt, but I do. Hunting is a great tradition. It promotes comradery, morals, wellness and pride. While of course I don't need that 50 lbs of venison in my freezer, but it's a nice bonus that goes with all of the other things that make hunting great. I think it's sad that there is such a decline in hunting in the USA over the past several decades. I believe people are getting lazier as technology advances. I'm as geeky as the next guy, but I still drag my ass in the woods week after week in pursuit of deer, birds, whatever I may be after that day.
Have you played anything in the Cabela's Big Game Hunter series? I don't know what version you're pissing on, but most of the PS2 ones that I have are pretty good.
Yeah that's the solution. Why didn't I think of that? Just pull all of the troops out of Iraq right now. That would be fucking awesome.....or wait, no actually that would be the absolute 100% worst possible solution to a very complex problem. Move along and shut the fuck up.
Parent is not a troll. He is completely correct. Anybody who throws out generalizations like "it's just a few lines of code" has no fucking idea what their talking about.
"the only majot difference being when the peak happens?"
No, peak oil also argues that after the peak there will be a drop. This summary says that it will plateau instead.
But they want others to see their item. They do not want other people to be able to create one of their own. In order for them to see the item, they still have to download it.
Most people just use the numbers. I only use the letters on my phone when adding a contact. For this reason I prefer a layout in the traditional abc order. I guess if I was sending text messages all day I might think differently, but I prefer to just call somebody if I wish to talk to them using a telephone.
"He says we should have some, but not unlimited fair use. Yes and yes."
Well actually I would argue yes and no. We should have unlimited fair use. We should not have unlimited use. That is the point of fair use. If they limited our fair use it would not be fair now would it?
I know what your saying. Sometimes when speaking to people out of state you simply have to bite the bullet and say upstate. Even if it isn't the best description, at least it specifically says that you are not from NYC. A very very different place than the rest of the state.
Central NY is upstate. There are multiple terms used, but if it's not downstate, it's upstate. And I can assure you that Watertown and Albany are not downstate. Neither is Binghamton, Syracuse, Buffalo, etc...
Western NY , Central NY, Southern Tier, are all upstate.
Do other states of tests that are written by the state? In NY we have regents tests. Why not just use those as the tests that determine whether a teacher gets the bonus or not?
I think this one should take the cake! http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/314/580 7/1850a/F4
I'm sure the warranty simply offers a replacement in the case of defects.... which they've already done. Therefore this case is merit-less by default.
Yeah I probably would. Humans are omnivores by nature.

If people didn't make inappropriate jokes, the Internet wouldn't be what it is.

I wouldn't be glad. I would be sad :(

It's not a scam. It's just marketing. The same marketing they've been doing for ages. Just a different medium.

Sega made a better football game with their 2k series in my opinion.
Again, we have to give EA credit for creating the best Golf series ever. Tiger woods is awesome.
KOTOR == Knights of the Old Republic We shouldn't have to google this. Put it in the summary.
I'd put USA first in that list. I always check, especially when buying tools.
