Like the parent said, you are free to use the license you want. It's not like Stallman is organizing protests to force government(s) to make GPL a requirement for all software. Stallman is just saying that in HIS OPINION you are wrong to do so.
Also I get the impression that he's not in for making quick cash out of linux. It looks like he has long term plans, not just with linux as a platform, but with free software as a development/business model.

The situation here is that we have something to copy, and copying is getting easier. The more copying we do outside of the wishes of the content creators, the harder it is for the content creators to make a living making the content in the first place. Which means they'll stop. Which means there's nothing to copy. Good. The content creators are going to stop making "content" and perhaps we are going to see some art instead.
It's five to ten years behind in terms of stability and even playback is a problem on some systems. By the way check out how this guy (After Effects production manager) ends his blog entry (on Jan 3rd)...
premiere (849$) is cheaper than fcp(1299$). So if you are not in "real" movies (don't do film transfer and import log files) production and just edit videos, premiere should do more than enough for you. As an extra (in production studio) you can edit composition sequences in after effects and see them instantly in premiere.
I doubt it will be skype, gtalk has a better voip IMHO.
So, what about gPhone?
