Not to sound like a Corporate Shill, but if you are with Spint in the US they have an upgrade plan for handsets that will give you discounts on a new phone if you have had your old phone for 18+ months and agree to extend your current contract.
Every time I write my congress critter I get a jury duty notice. I though it was coincidence until the same thing happened to two other people I know. In all cases we never had jury duty before, we write a letter to congress and within a month get servered notice.
That's what I said in 2000 and voted Gore against my conscience. Bush stole the election that time and he probably will again. Even if Kerry wins, he will not be able to correct the misadventures of the last administration.
This year, a vote for the Libertarians is a vote against the "two party" system and in the end that may be the most important point.
I recently narrowed down my catch-all e-mail address to a handful of addresses I actually use. Before the switch I was averaging 1,200 spam a day. After the change I am averaging 300 spam a day. My suggestion is to find a forwarding service that allows you to set a list of what gets sent and what gets blocked.
What I find ironic is that for years people used the Beta/VHS argument to describe the difference between Macintosh and Windows. Macs were superior, but PC's were cheaper, more plentiful, and "good enough". Now that the tables have been turned and M$ finds itself on the other side of the argument they don't know how to react.
Actually, the literal translation for bupkis is "goat shit". The word is used to mean "worthless" or "nothing", because what can you really do with bupkis?
It's true. The current Debian Unstable kernels have been backporting the 2.6 IPsec modules into 2.4.24 and 2.4.25. There are a number of other patches in the Deb kernels that are not in the vanilla tree. I don't neccesarily agree with this practice, but it is common.
I watched the entire set last weekend and the episodes just got better and better. I think the the pressure of working on a series that was threatened with cancellation from the pilot on really inspired everyone involved to put in 110% effort. I don't know if we will ever see a movie or another series of Firefly, but that just makes what we do have more precious. If you haven't seen it, beg, buy, or borrow this series. You won't be dissapointed.
No, the point of Linux is to have an Open Source operating system. If all you care about is cost, you should pirate M$ software like the rest of the world.
If you want an Open Source operating system with guaranteed support RH Enterprise is still a good deal. Although the support and distribution limitations to RHE are not a traditional Linux model, it is still compliant with the GPL.
I have been using DNS Central for almost a year now with no problems.
I picked them because they are an OpenSRS reseller, they offer a good deal on web/e-mail forwarding, they have optional DNS service, and they were able to transfer.biz and.info names.
The two times I needed support help during the set-up, I got very quick responses via e-mail and phone.
Personally, a bat-belt makes my pants fall down. A European Man Bag is too easy to loose track of and gets in the way of my laptop case. I prefer the Doc Savage solution, a multi-pocket vest. I'm on my second Scott eVest and other than them touting that the POTUS and SS use them on a regular basis I recommend them highly.
Yes you look like a geek with the vest but face it, if you have to carry all that crap around with you YOU ARE A GEEK. Only sales droids and PHB's can get away without carrying three items of tech at any given moment.
It almost makes me wish for days of the mandatory suit and tie.
I think that's really the heart of their worries. The RIAA does not want you distributing music period. They only want members of the RIAA to have the right to create distribution channels. The P2P cases have nothing to do with copyrights and everything to do with distribution and content control.
The first is to check out the collections from Proper Records . For the price of two regular CD's you can get a six disk compilation. The music hasn't been digitally remastered, but it sounds all right to me. Sometimes their choices are strange, for example they have selections from 'Birth of the Cool' on their BeBop collection, but it is a load of tunes for the money.
The other suggestions is to check out KPLU.ORG. KPLU is a public radio station in Seattle that streams their programming on the Web with Windows Media and RealPlayer. The selection is REAL Jazz with no Kenny G in site. If you like them, donate your months CD budget to the station to keep them alive.
The company I work for is using this stuff right now for bedding material and packaging. It is my understanding that the product needs to be put into an industrial compactor under heat, moisture, and pressure in order to truly decompose. Under normal conditions the material retains it's shape indefinetly.
That's not true, Linux users do it in clusters...and they don't have to pay.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Wired, Linux Journal, 2600, Information Week, Dr.Who Monthly.
;)
I would like to read more, but I just don't spend that much time on the toilet
Kickin it Apple Old School.

To be fair if the system softs allow a firewall app to write to the boot block of the disk, I would blame the system softs.
We already have a fix for NAT. It's called IPv6.

If you check the package versions between Debian stable and Red Hat Enterprise you will find quite a few matches.
Old software = Stable software.

I thought the new slogan was:
"Microsoft - The Network is the Password"

I would like to announce that I have a patent pending on a method of defecating in one's own hand.
So if any of you monkeys need to make a statement, your gonna have to talk to me.
I wanted to post a reply, but the SlashCode gave me this error:
Lameness filter encountered. Post aborted!
Reason: Don't use so many caps. It's like YELLING.
oh well..

Don't forget the two books he wrote under the pen name Stephen Bury:
The Cobweb
Interface
Both well worth checking out.
