FYI-
Here is the official FARK response posted this morning:

Here is Fark's stance on this issue:
We're not a silicon valley venture-capital funded behemoth startup. Fark is self-funded and run out of my living room. They have parties with limos and live bands out there, while here in Kentucky I get pretty excited when I find a new bourbon at the store around the corner.
Fark isn't in a financial position to stand up and take on the DMCA/MPAA/WTFOMG in a head to head legal battle, they'll crush us into fine paste. I can however say with confidence that the DMCA is a load of crap, the MPAA and their attorneys are douchebags, and someone needs to take them down. More power to Digg, if we can help we will. We just can't take point on this one. Digg has millions of VC dollars in their bank account, they're in a much better position than us to take this one on. Go gettum guys.
(Btw this does mean we'll have to continue deleting posts and links containing the code until some BS politico in Washington changes that BS law. Please don't post it thanks)
At least they are honest about caving to censorship. Bye Bye FARK, it was fun while it lasted.
This may not relate, but I had the same thing happen with a model M clone from Unicomp connected to a Cybex switchbox. It turned out I was accidentally hitting the the first half of the keyboard shortcut to switch terminals, but not the second half. This would cause the keyboard to lock-up. I fixed the issue by remapping the shortcut in the cybex switch to something I wouldn't hit so easily.
In fact, they tried to bend backwards to accomodate the Debian developers requests but said they could not remove the logos and artwork for branding reasons.
Please keep in mind that the Debian devs were told in the past that they COULD remove the icons and keep the name as long as it was "Debian Firefox". Since then the Mozilla organization has changed and so have the rules. It is a prefect example of why Debian can't relax. The compromise of keeping the Firefox name has now turned into an issue that could delay an improtant release.
somebody on the Debian mailing list suggested "Iceweasel" and it stuck.
Actually, GNUzilla and IceWeasel are existing GNU projects to make FREE versions of Mozilla and FireFox. The name IceWeasle did not come from the Debian group alone.
I was lucky enough to see one of the previews and can can safely say that the movie in NOT a remake of the pilot. The story stands on it's own. There is a nice introduction to bring people who have not seen the series up to speed and plenty of new material for the fans. The movie also wraps-up a number of story lines left dangling after the series was canceled.
Considering the craptastic movies that have been released this year, it may turn out to be the best movie of the summer.
As history has shown us, it is always the cheap inferior technology (MS Windows, VHS, internal combustion engine, etc.) that become the standard. If Linux truly is crap, it will probably go on to rule the world!

For those of you who don't follow Debian..don't forget that the current stable release has had THREE "Service Pack" updates since it was released.
But how can you have straight forward names when companies are allowed to copyright names by the hundreds? Look at the hassles that phoenix/firebird/firefox went through? Or the netsaint/nagios problems from a few years ago. You have got to give the Ubuntu folks props for coming up with names that are distinctive and memorable.
Now if they would only give a little back to the Debian project....
Yes and No. BBC Worldwide has not renewed any PBS licences for
Dr.Who. They are hoping to put together a package for the new series that
will include broadcast rights to the old episodes.
Don't despair yet. There are rumors of the SciFi
Channel currently negotiating with the Beeb for the package. Also, CBC
Canada has already purchased the new series for broadcast. The air dates
should be announced after the series premieres in England. In the US, some
Cable systems and satellite networks carry CBC channels.
I really liked the series. It was much better than Voyager. I do think that they need put the franchise on hold for awhile especially if Enterprise, as good as it was, can't make it in the ratings.
Oh well, now I don't have to worry about Enterprise conflicting with the new Dr.Who series.
This should be +5 insightful, not funny. It is only a matter of time before some "media friendly" senator attaches a rider to an education package that bans open WiFi access. Or more likely, a Homeland Security bill because Terroists might use open WiFi links in an attack.
I have to agree about the Sonata. It is a hell of a case, with tons of drive space. The PS and stock case fans are the quietest I have run across. However, if the submitter thinks the Hush case is "cheap looking", the Sonata is probably too utilitarian for him.
As Gordo would have said: "Looks like someone screwed the pooch on this one".

Yes they are reselling GoDaddy. If you look at the whois entry for cheapcheap.biz you see the following clues:
Sponsoring Registrar: WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC.
Name Server: NS3.SECURESERVER.NET
Name Server: NS4.SECURESERVER.NET
Wild West Domains and Secureserver.net are both names used by GoDaddy for their reseller programs.
Wild West Domains is owned GoDaddy as is any registrar with SECURESERVER.NET as a name server. ...knowing is half the battle...
Pfffttt, no thanks. Let me know when IceWeasel is ready.

It's Buckaroo Banzai!!
Ummmm....then the point of a community supported Linspre is what again?
YES!! A Feast of Steven reference!! You are a Geek GOD!!
I don't want to spoil anything for you, but I will say that four of these story lines are in the movie. ;)
Can't stop the signal.

We could probably get Tova Torvalds an advisory position with IndyMedia...do you think it would help?

I don't care what the justification is, this is a DoDS pure and simple.
