I recently had a college professor tell me that he recieved an email from one of his students. It started out as regular text but quickly devolved into texting-speak.
Wow, I thought everyone who would fall in/.'s target market would be in the target market for Buffy and Firefly. You must be the exception that proves the rule!
Personally I hope they do get sued. While I do think our society is overly litigous, and Comcast does have the right to modify traffic on the network they own, I don't think they have the right to lie or mislead about it. And isn't this the same Comcast who had the unlimited plan with bandwidth caps?
I can see the point of people concerned about privacy. However, I think the kind of service discussed in the article, a sort of address book 2.0, sounds pretty cool. Its something I would probably go for if I had a life. And as for the privacy deal, there's nothing forcing people to use this kind of service.
Maybe its just me, but who cares about the iPhone? Normally I'm pretty excited about Apple products, but it really seems like just another phone. Yeah, it has a few more bells and whistles, but its not revolutionary or anything. And the whole AT&T lock in deal is a big downer. Maybe the next rev will be more exciting.
Well I say kudos to the people organizing the relief effort in San Diego. I think its great that they thought ahead to provide this kind of amenity to the people displaced by the ongoing disaster. This is the kind of project I would be glad to spend tax dollars on!
The buildings may not be moving, but doesn't it say that the camera would be mounted to an airplane or satelite? The satelite, yeah it could be in geosynch orbit, but the airplane has to move, so relative to the plane, the buildings ARE movings
You know I've been using Vista for about 8 months now. I got it when I purchased a new machine. I'm not really sure specifically what people are upset about. It doesn't seem to run slow and it works with all my hardware.
I wonder why the powers that be don't make some way for those comments to be automatically deleted?

Does Halley's comet not count??
Geez, talk about a close call for people living in Misery...I mean Missouri
Does Verisign do anything anymore that isn't just to make a bigger buck, the rest of the world be damned?
So does this mean with all the lead paint we are seeing in toys now, we will see another spike in violent behavior.
How did the parent make it past the lameness filter? Seriously
Why doesn't everyone (Apple, Microsoft, Linux/Unix people) work together on security? Its the one thing that everyone benefits from.

So what, will hackers be able to use my computer to crack my password 25 times faster now?

I didn't realize people still used AIM. I thought everyone "cool" had moved on to MyFaceSpaceBook
Does this mean that I have to put something over my tinfoil hat now so the camera doesn't pick up the glare?
