The company only takes orders from their website, which you'll have to pay an extra $.78 per visit unless you either have the Comcast Super-Happy-Family-Platinum-Edition-Xtreme-Speed plan or are using Googlenet.
Of course, if you're spending $4000 on a cat, you won't be missing those 78 cents.
It's amazing how long people still play these retro games. Emulators make it easy for non-fanatics(like me) to pick up SMB3 or Super Contra and play a bit.
Will today's games last that long, or will it be that much harder to enjoy them years from now because of the extra difficulty of creating a emu for them.
Really, when you feel the need to troll, do your homework.
Nintendo always had the idea of a back catalog, but after they've seen what MS is doing with indie/small studio games on Marketplace, they've tacked on that idea on their virtual console also. Oh, and stuff like Geometry Wars, ya, it's five bucks. I hardly call that gouging.
"Microsoft is coming out with an HD-DVD accessory for HD movies as an add-on only a year after they launched: that is exactly the kind of thing we don't want to do"
Ya, giving your customers choices is like soooo totally stupid. Please, shove your undead-Betamax player onto me.
Are they only releasing a few because they think it'll create OMGWTF demand for this, or because they don't want to get stuck with a bunch of shitty paintjobs?
Let's face it, if you're going to get a custom paint job from a boutique instead of an actual painter/air brush, you'll get it from Falcon NW.
A lot of people download "legal" music because they want to support their artists or because they feel it's wrong to download music for free. Are these people just downloading from AllofMP3 and thinking that they're doing the right thing to alleviate whatever guilt they may feel?
Are these guys fucking retarded or what? If this is meant for teachers, then it's meant for schools. In case they haven't noticed, the curriculums are already full, and teachers drop topics that are important themselves.
Not to mention that the curriculums are standardised already, meaning that for Captain Copyright to get his ass into schools, the entire provincial board would have to OK it. Ya, gl with that.
That would work...if the vending machines were Apple owned...which they're not.
So tell me why this third party would be advertising for Apple, because I can't figure it out. And I don't buy the reasoning that Apple made a company to advertise for them.
Like others have said, TFA is full of shit. CS and Bejewled are just two examples.
Most recently, look at Geometry Wars. As anyone with a 360 will tell you, this game has a stellar conversion rate(30%+), meaning that 30% of people who download the demo, buy the game.
Also, what about the Shareware games back in the day of DOOM? How can TFA say that those weren't hits?
How can you possibly say that a 6+ hour single player mode and more multiplayer options are a money grab? Hate to break it to ya, but this is an expansion, and just because they're calling it an episode doesn't change that.
Anyone care to name five recent expansion packs that feature more content than this?
MS wanted to ship a million 360s. They never got that many out the door because Celestica(or whoever the new manufacturer was) didn't get in as early as MS would have hoped. 360s sold out in April, and finally in May the shortage looks to be over.
Joke all you want at the small size of the 'tech' crowd, but enthusiasts hold a great deal of sway over the general public.
If someone doesn't know which tv to buy, they'll ask their techie friend about what he/she recommends. And go into any electronics store(NOT best buy) and you'll see passionate people who won't recommend a POS.
This is after all exactly what happens with computers.
George Orwell wrote a good essay on the overly fancy writing style employed by too many people. The use of stale metaphors and meaningless words are covered, and it's a pretty big eye opener to writers who try to make their work sound more special and educated by throwing large words in it.
If you're interested, it's called "Politics and the English Language"
I use folders to organise my music... It sound simple and archaic, but it really works.
What I have is a root music folder, in which there are 4 folders, A-F, G-L, M-R, S-Z. In each of those is each Artist. If I have a full album from an artist, then a folder with album name is in there. Otherwise, the tracks are simply dropped into the artist's folder.
That makes finding music easy, and I don't need to have a player open to browse. I also have around 20.m3u playlists for Winamp in Windows, none of which have full albums in them. If I want to play an album, I just open the album folder and drag the files onto Winamp.
Who the HELL wrote this story?
I'd say that there's a better chance to get into the industry if you're a damn good modder, rather than a damn good bug finder.
Counterstrike(HL), Desert Combat(BF42), and Red Orchesta(UT2004) are all examples of this.
It's funny(strange) that the two things that propel innovation in their fields are weapons and pornography.
SNAFU
Have you heard of DBabble?
Can someone please tell me why employers need all sorts of information about contractors when they're not even technically employing them?
Oh ya, it's the government, I forgot.

Is it just me, or does this game sound a lot like that DOS game Drug Wars that was popular back then. You can even get it in some repos still.

The way it's being handled at E3 leads me to believe it'll either be a timed exclusive. or Ubisoft won't show off the 360 version at all.
I want to see how armor is going to look on them. It sounds quite disgusting.
They have a free sample too
Gametrailers.com is going to be airing the Nintendo conference live in HD, starting at 9:30am

This week's 1up show also has a new Spore clip with some Will Wright commentary.
