It seems to come around in cycles - big console launches (PC goes quiet except for it's core game types - strategy, puzzle, online). Then new PC graphics cards come out that **** over the current generation of consoles (Store shelves begin to fill with PC games again). Repeat.
I have bought a console now for gaming (ironically an XBOX360) because there is little else that I use that's dependent on Windows. I will probably make the switch to Linux next time I have to rebuild my PC (or will at least go with a dual boot setup).
A new movie or show is unlikely to ever happen, Whedon has said so himself in interviews.
But if you are a rabid fan check out www.intotheblack.ca. A fan made project set in the same period/location. Not sure how far they have got beyond basic concepts though so don't expect a whole season of shows any time soon.
64bit would feasibly be helpful to us for CAD work but on testing I found we had too much older software that just didn't work with it. So until we upgrade our ERP software it just isn't going to happen for us. Shame as it did seem to speed up our 3D CAD on the test PC.
"Monkeys would eat a banana shaped universe. And there just may not be enough monkeys far enough back in time when the universe was small for them to eat it."
Hence the obelisk in 2001 - it had to make the monkeys evolve to save the universe. It's all so logical now, thanks!
"With the FPS kiddies and casual gaming boobs migrating off the PC platform, PC gaming may actually go back to the more complex, cerebral, mature games we used to be able to buy."
Or alternatively commercial game developers move away from PCs altogether as Consoles increasingly have PC style functions and no driver issues.
Of course it could have in game ads - it's set in a "real world" environment (OK so the gates of Hell haven't opened quite yet but London has billboards!).
But how many companies would want their products associated with Hell, demons and the end of the world?
That may be the case in the US but the 1991 Computer Software Directive (I think that's the title!) allows for re-sale or re-use in the European Union so long as it is only on one machine at a time.
I'm not sure if this has been challenged by MS or others recently but this was the case a couple of years ago.

I for one would not want to include the words "pencil thick" when talking about condoms!
Don't eat yellow SNES.
People worry about Jack Thompson wanting to censor content... at least Rockstar's Table Tennis game will sell well.

Nah, looks more like one of the Centurions from the 80s cartoon show.
BTW is he trying to look mean and aggressive or is the armour uncomfortable for his piles?!
You are forgeting that you only really get ONE day of democracy every four years or so.
"All you've done in essence, is taken *FAIR USE* clips, and very neatly strung them together to where "ZOMG" you can *watch* the whole thing."
Oh you mean like joining all the 30 second daily video clips from p0rn sites before file sharing became popular - now I can understand!
But they do have WMDs - "Ways of Mass Distribution" that is.
Uh... ok I'll try not to.
"My only complaint is that it doesn't do windows."
And thats a bad thing? Oh you meant the kind of windows with regular glass not "aero glass".
No, that was an insult. Arguments are down the corridor.

"Because, of course, black is far more exciting than grey...?"
Haven't you heard? Black is the new grey.

"It's bad enough now that I won't even try their new games that would interest me if published by anyone else."
I wouldn't go that far. But I do read plenty of reviews first before purchasing EA games.

"Er.. how about holding the child himself responsible? After all, he made the choice to commit the crime."
True, but you will not get much money from suing a child. On the other hand, sue the parents...
This works for me.
When your mind just goes blank, think of some really lame pop song and after a verse of that your brain snaps back into focus.
The downside could be that you have an annoying song playing in your head for a few hours! But hey if you pass the exam it is worth it (just about!).
...so we can be like Dare Devil.
