I agree with you totally. There have been so many times that stupid policies made it difficult for me to get my work done. It is often easier to find ways around the security than to go through the proper channels. I had to do that a lot in my last job.
I tried it. It opened a window with no location bar or close buttons, but I could easily right click on the the task bar and click close window. I don't see what the big deal is.
I actually prefer my Ubuntu desktop to windows. The only problem I have is support for mainstream software. If I could get Itunes and Photoshop for Linux all would be right with the world
I would be running a 3 year old PC if I could get one to last that long. The laptop I had before this one lasted 25 months. The one before that lasted 12, died just after the warranty. I think it is a conspiracy to make me pay more windows tax.
As for running Pentium 1 systems I guess that is fine if the systems are not windows machines or if those machines don't surf the internet. I don't think those systems would run windows xp very well and their are unpatched holes in the older versions of windows that are no longer supported by Microsoft.
The article says that many linux loyalist chided him for the distros he chose. I have to agree with them. It is not that difficult to do a search and see what is the most popular distro.
Are the going take the RAM out of the servers and examine it?
It seems as though the MPAA is getting everyone to spy for them. According to the L.A. Times AT & T has agreed to spy for the MPAA as well. Because AT & T wants to make money from pay-television. It is just like my ISP here. They started shaping bit torrent traffic 1 day and announced their television service the next day. http://www.latimes.com/technology/la-fi-piracy13ju n13,1,5531531.story?ctrack=1&cset=true
Yup, they generated a lot of noise about Ubuntu and hid it underneath a rock. Like you say I think they should just have a select OS option. If they are worried about customers selecting Ubuntu and not knowing what it is they can always put a Ubuntu info section just like they have a Vista info section.
I think there really is a shortage. The USCIS recieved about 135000 applications for the H1B quota this year on the first day alone.
Didn't these people read Flash Gordon. The Great Sorrow will follow!!!! earth=mongol

You can download the Jira source easily, but you are supposed to buy a license if it is being used commercially.

Could poor vista sales be the reason for Microsoft brandishing vagues patent threats?
The "pay protection money" makes the sweet folks at Microsoft sound like evil mobsters.
I tried that once. The cd key on the laptop did not work in a virtual machine. I was forced to generate a key.
A printout would be a beautiful way to give the judge what he asked for.

My ATi card works perfectly on my 1501
The Ubuntu e1505n is supposed to be 599 compared to the e1505 which is 699.
I don't know rules of comedy, but I found the first episode pretty funny and the second episode is so funny that I can only take it in bits.
