My submariner originally designed in the 1950s has a 42 hour power reserve, no winding no cables just a very nice watch that always works.
Any quartz watch would give you about 2 years, and even a modern winding watch would give you longer run time.
Having worked with itnsince 1998 i am 100% behind not using cmd line for users,
You see people are stupid and even if you think while doing things a majority of people do not.
I am a linux/firewall admin, i have tried to use an iPad for this but its just a pain.
What it is good for, and i mean really good is as stated in posts before.. media.
I use it for watching youtube, checking/. and playing silly games and it is very good
for this.
I have searched an article like this for admins but there is none because
its a pain to use it for anything else than browsing or watching videos.
What has not yet been lifted in this thread is that OSX and IOS
are starting to look a lot more like each other, or OSX is looking
a lot more like IOS since Lion upgrade, i think we will see more
and more aspects of the mac being locked in.

i moved to osx on my desktop 2003-07-01 from Debian, have the same feeling and will probably move back to Debian some day when i had it with osx.
