    Why didn't it say that on the box? You don't see "no returns, no gurantee" until you've paid for the POS and seen the EULA.

    I'd suggest leaving which-ever 3rd world country you live in, and move to one where shrink-wrapped EULAs doesn't hold any value - Transaction already settled, money accepted, no more changing the agreement.

    If American thinks its quality is so much better, let them show it. Why not partner with Expedia to add "Air Experience" rating next to each price, where the ratings are based on passenger and secret shopper testing. That way you could see that American is charging $200 (with a 4 star rating) and Discount-O-Jet is charging $175 (with a 1.5 star rating) and make your choice. It would also give Expedia something to promote over the competition.

    This may work for private travel, but for corporate flights it is ONLY the ticket-price, that matters for all but exec-level employees these days. If you do not take the proovably cheapest fligth, most companies/managers will get into a fit demanding you take the cheaper option. This is also part of why additional expenses (luggage-fees, toilet-fees etc), since these are not part of the ticket-price :(

    Guess you could have expressed yourself a bit better, but you are correct; This could stifle innovation and freedom of choice, but worth noting that the standard is effectively optional, and does not exclude the addition of a separate power-source.

    Now, if we could just get Apple to release the Patents on MagSafe, so we could use this for all laptop...

    Then just please don't do like me: I swerved on my bicycle, doing ca 55KPH (30MPH?), due to a pedestrian walking without looking or thinking, and ended up with a broken back :(

    I will guarantee that she did not understand that she caused the accident...

    Is probably to replicate that "Disney Staleness" that is visible when watching Disney channels and I which also experienced at a Disney Hotel last summer - how they'll replicate the food-poisoning, I'm not sure though.

    That said I think having solid developer(s) is a really good thing. It costs less, makes for a more reliable product, and enables you to say "yeah, we can add that" vs. "hah, you'd have to rewrite everything" when further great ideas come along.

    Would you mind explaining my management this? They seem to think they can get away with just hiring the cheapest people, the ones no-other company wants to touch, because they lack basic understanding of software development.

    I think everyone agrees that NWN1 had a weak story, and that it was the downloadable modules, the ability to create and share your own stories, that made it what it is.

    NWN2 on the other hand.... I have a dual-core 2GHz machine, NVidia 9500 thingy and a couple of gigabytes of ram, and the game runs at ca 3 frames per second on the lowest settings....

    Please clarify: Can all iPhones run 4.0+ firmware?
    I am asking, since I have here a iPod (not phone), that cannot run 4.0 and for which some software reports that a firmware upgrade is required.

    Vlanderen or Brussels - both allow contracts to be in Dutch.
    I always request my official documents in Dutch (living in Brussels). It confuses people, and the responses I get boil down to: "This is Belgium - we speak French here!"

    *sigh*

    But the "Read and Approved" thing I have to do is both annoying and nice. Protects all parties.

    1) Firefox, OSX 10.6
    2) Lynx, Ubuntu Server 10.4

    Except User Agent and ACCEPT headers, they come up with identical stats ....

    Meanwhile, the Lynx is more unique than the Firefox ...

    In European countries (all EU member states), international treaties only have to be ratified by the minister of foreign affairs, and take precedence over the constitution of the signatory countries.

    Best (as in worst) I've seen ever is a school in Siberia, where it gets down to -60 degrees Celsius (-80-90 Fahrenheit). The school doesn't close until it gets down to -50 Celsius, and until a few years ago the toilets were not in the mail building....

    Yes, you can get good fuel economy in a Smart, but it also doesn't hold 4 people

    Feeling fairly confident that the Smart4Four holds 4 people - at least we were putting 4 seats into each of them.
    (yes, its no longer produced - shame, really)
