  1. Re:Its the battery on iPod Takes Japan by Storm · · Score: 1

You're right. Battery charge is an issue too. Wouldn't it be great if a PDA had the advantages of the iPod? In the end, it looks like the iPod will be more and more like a PDA.

Here's a question for people: Where do you think that Google is going? I mean, what is there ultimate goal? Where do you see Google in 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years? How ubiquitous will they be? What services will they provide? Just some food for thought. Please respond.

Funny thing is: the iPod isn't anywhere near as powerful as the pda. Basically, the iPod works because the form factor is attractive and Apple streamlines the content better than anyone else. Whereas with the pda, there's no *really* easy way for the user to get content. I like to hear of Japan embracing American technology. More often than not, it's the other way around. Or at least that's my perspective.

Copyright is a tricky area. There are many myths that education might help to dispel. Consider these myths: 1) If it doesn't have a copyright notice, it's not copyrighted. 2) If I don't charge for it, it's not a violation. 3) If it's posted to Usenet it's in the public domain. 4) My posting was just fair use! 5) If you don't defend your copyright you lose it. 6) If I make up my own stories, but base them on another work, my new work belongs to me. 7) They can't get me, defendants in court have powerful rights! 8) Oh, so copyright violation isn't a crime or anything? 9) It doesn't hurt anybody -- in fact it's free advertising. 10) They e-mailed me a copy, so I can post it. Phew, you know what? After all that, I'm taking up horseback riding.
