    oh yes, I always read instructions you need to hunt for and nobody should ever expect things which are garanteed to break your installation to be mentioned in the installation instructions which come with the thing you actually download.

    Actually, the problem is you upgraded instead of uninstalled followed by re-installing. See, no where on the page or the installer does it inform you that doing such will in no way do anything close to resembling working. Way to blow it, mozilla

    maybe you dont understand this part, but: with better graphics options, the game looks better.
    I knew it would look like crap on the system I had, so I got a system that not only wouldnt make it look like crap, but wouldnt make whatever game I buy six months from now look like crap, either. If you want to waste money by buying new components all the time just to get games to run at all, that's your own fault. I'm a once-every-few-years buyer, though, and the release of Half Life 2 seems like a very good point at which to buy a high-end system that wont need an upgrade for a while.

    I mean, you do realize that people who spent $2000 to play Half Life 2 are planning on using those systems for something else too, right?

    How many features could you possibly want which would make it more complicated than the proccess of writing that message and clicking "submit"? It's a list of bookmarks and would possibly have an "import" and "export" button for as many as two whole browsers. If you started writing when you read the subject, you'd probably be done by now.

    "two wrongs don't make a right" probably requires that at least one of those wrongs be defined as wrong in a universe which isnt completely fucking insane.
    A customer sees a game he wants, so he purchases it. That is RIGHT.
    A customer sees that he can't play the game he just spent money on, so he finds a way to play that thing which he currently owns. That is RIGHT.

    Bypassing broken copy protection is always okay and can never be unethical. Any protection system which does not let you play even though you spent money on a real copy is broken.

    A system with actual buttons isnt exactly less likely to have height calibration problems. See ATMs or those newfangled electronic ticket machines movie theaters have nowadays.

    that is why you would rig a machine in a primarily republican area to vote all republican. By observing voter turnout statistics you could easily determine exactly which machine you would need to attack in order to produce the same result as if you modified each machine to offset its votes by one. Expend some minimal effort.

    (Note that I'm only saying "republican" because everyone who votes is "democratic". Holy fuck party names suck)

    Are they legally required to continue providing any on-demand programming they ever release, forever, even after my subscription ends, since I may have "time shifted" some video otherwise? I mean hey, if I get a free unlimited library of movies, even one that I can only watch each item once from, I'm fine with that. That's exactly what they're saying they'll do, right?
