I have nothing against the name. For all I care they could call it the Killsyoubox, and I'd still be insterested. I just don't understand how changing the name from Revolution, to Wii is supposed to help it sell better.
What exactly has Microsoft done that they need to be punished for? They build a product, if other products don't work with it too bad. Sure their product sucks, and people should switch to linux. But what has Microsoft done that violates the principles of freemarket. Should Chevrolet be punished because I can't plug a Ford ECU into a Silverado and expect it to work? Should What about the fact that I can't load a.308 round into my Mosin Nagant. How bout the fact that I can't plug my cable line into my dish box? Why are we singling out Microsoft?
Sure robots could in theory take over and start using us as batteries? But you have to ask yourself, why would they? Just program a good falesafe into your ai and everything will be fine anyway. No need to panic.
I don't think that the industry neccesarily needs to pay attention so much to the experts. Not that they don't know what they're talking about, because they do, but they are not the main consumers. If JVC can produce a product for less money that most consumers will percieve as higher quality, then thats the bottom line.

Theaters might consider getting into hosting big screen lan/console gaming parties, in order to remain somewhat viable as entertainment venues.

Let's face it, OSX being BSD means theres already a bootloader for the Mactel that will handle Linux. Didn't take much to make the jump.
