that he questions the use of the MAC address. It's not far fetched, and considering some of the sloppy code we've seen from MS in the past, wouldn't be out of the norm even.
put him in stocks and beat him with a cain. Then for the next 6 months, make him where a shirt with a Scarlet "S" on the front and back while carrying a sign that explains what he did. Plus some community service and a hefty fine to be paid by him, not his parents.
if they can develop viral nano bots, that the possibility is there to develop antigen nano bots. Look out, your bloodstream may become the battleground in the next world war.
I just got cable a year ago, and when I found G4, I though "Great, TV for me" And I would watch AOTS and X-play, and it was allright. Then, my cable company changed their rates and I dropped it for awhile. When I got Dish Network, I tuned into G4 again to find AOTS was totally changed, and now has nothing to do with gaming. Not once have I seen the current version of AOTS review a game. It's lame. X-play is still good, but they don't show it often enough. I've heard about TechTV and wish someone would do shows like those. A show about gadgets, and a tech help call/e-mail/im in show would be great.Just my $.02
as many people care about the PS3 as Sony and many folks in the industry believe. I don't think it will hold back gaming, because if it is overpriced, people will pass it up for the Wii or the 360 (or both). Game publishers will start puting out more games for the Wii, and the 360 will have no shortage of titles either way. Sony will reduce the price untill it's competitive. It's not a big deal really.
I'm halfway surprised to find a Chinese propaganda agent on slashdot. But I guess if you're a good Chi-Com they'll allow you such liberties in order to defend the motherland.
Godwins law requires a comparison. IE "Hitler probably would have banned video games". But here Hitler was used as an example of someone who never played video games and still commited violence.
I work in State Government in an IT shop, and we have almost all of our users running as non-admins, with the exception of those of us in the IT shop, and one of the developers. It works really well, and we rarely have trouble with malware.
While the points you make are all very valid, They don't neccesarily argue against my theory. I tend to think God chose alot of design elements he had already used when he created Man. Take a little from Angels, take a little from Apes. . . you get the idea. In the end, isn't the very fact that someone had an idea outside the accepted norm, what brought us to where we are today with evolutionary theory?
Let me speak as a Thiestic Evolutionist (IE creasionist). And say that I do believe God created evolveable species. I however do not believe that the Human species has evolved, this is a personal belief I hold, and is deeper than I want to rabbit trail into on this thread.
but I think it'll be a good thing. Mostly because I'd like to see some kind of set standard, so I can listen to my music from any service on any player. Thats not too much to ask, right?
Linux was started in 1991 by a Finnish student, Linus Torvalds, who wanted to modify the Unix operating system to work on his PC. (Unix was a text-driven operating system running on big mainframe computers that could handle various tasks and users simultaneously.) The task proved too much for one person, so Mr. Torvalds asked for help from programmers around the world in a posting on a Web bulletin board -- and the Linux movement was born.
As if to say Open Source programming started with Linux.
Me I like a trackball and a flight throttle for my 1st person shooters (throttle up is stand, throttle back is crouch/prone, and the colly hat is great for strafing)
my Windows Desktop has been seriously neglected. I haven't fired up my Windows machine since October.

I subscribe to Game Informer, and with my subscription I get a discount at Gamestop. In other words, I won't miss CGW.

OO.o2 and Word both suck. Vim is the way to go.

We went over this earlier today http://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=186626&cid =15401122
Hey, at least yall get some cool cars. None of the good models make it to the US.
more wasted bandwidth.

Oh give me some credit. I can have a rational discussion about evolution. Now where's my stick, I want some katsup.
Yeah I noticed that too. Typical sensationalism.

Thats really a very poor analogy.

for indie game devs, try starting out with a non comercial, and perhaps even open source model.

This is good news for diabetics. Hope they get it working.
Was anything done to try to work with Google on the matter, or was it taken directly to a lawsuite.
