I know their are die hard fans of Sony and Nintendo who will never want (or, at least, admit to wanting) to move over to 360
I'm not die hard about Nintendo, I just abhor the chronic disregardfulness of Microsoft and the "consumer are cattle" vibe dripping off of Sony.
I'm simply choosing not to feed the monsters.
Fancy graphics have become easy to achieve as of last generation, if anyone can fail hard enough to disappoint in this next round, then they wern't really trying at all.
Thats just silly. I contend that its all the Flying Spaghetti Monster's fault. It collects heat from the sun and imparts it to everything with its noodly appendage.
I don't feel the need for 500 FPS refresh rates. After 200 FPS, if they still neglect everything else for refresh rate then they're severely misprioritizing display attributes.
I switched to Linux a while ago. I'm not scrambling to install Flash. It seems mostly like a way for websites to hog my system resources while delivering hard to block Ads. I can't see the newer versions of the badger badger badger thing, or the new front end to an ecommerce site that is now annoying, loud, and can't be bookmarked in any useful way.
I'm really not missing it. (I remember that bloody plugin crashing my W2k system every time I tried getting into the preferences)
Interlaced with a tweaked monitor in a semi overscanned mode, 690x440. (many of the earlier Amigas didn't have trouble with this, you'd get more vertically in PAL mode)
Excuse me while I vent my wild imagination on you, but try to keep up for a sec.
Imagine if you will, that there is a layer af audio processing software between the mics and the headphones, for a ridiculouly broad list of reasons that many books would be needed to cover. Imagine that in one book there was a short chapter about volume limiting to prevent their prized sonar operators from going deaf from any number of excuses there may be for a loud noise to try heading up the headphones.
Yeah, about the same here, though after a while I got drunken with power and a bit trigger-happy.
I mainly don't like the irrelevent carp and the craters they leave on pages, blocking helps there.
Television ads have turned me away from TV (look at a tape from 7 years ago, vastly less grating commercials! There were more worthwhile things on too I thought). I think ads have pushed me away from buying movie tickets too (not just because they strongly imply the movie has nothing to stand on), including the ones I have to sit through before the movie.
Okay, I have a big nasty thing against them, I'm prejudiced against them, I want to kill them, their families, burn their cities, and cleanse their entire race from the planet. I don't care if they're peddaling a product that will save my life, I will shun them for all they're worth and protest with my dollars. They have declared war on me, and they may well win, but I'll leave a nice big red smudge on the ground I stood when I die, and I will be proud that in my own head, that that smudge will stand for my beliefs for all to see, until its paved over with a poster selling ipods...
Chances are with me that as I've seen like two episodes of the series, one not making sense, and I'm oversaturated with "Serenity" hype (which for the first several days I had no clue what it was in general). I'm already not going to go out of my way to see this.
If I could trivially preview it, sure. I'm also not going out of my way to see the first nine minutes of it.
MEPIS is an easier install for the "oh, the hardware is still fine?" crowd.
Don't forget to try out knoppix on a boot-off-of-cd-only basis if you're system is just fine for now. You might need it later to recover files from an unbootable windows.
A box of hertz donuts.

And in the snow...

Captain EO!
It said it wouldn't allow the surgery.

Dawn and Dusk do card games now?
Ummm, I'll worry about it when rootkit detector evasion detector evasion is detected...
Zero-g manufacturing for marbles! Notice how all these earth-marbles are all imperfect? That'd be like, so worth it!
Yeah, it was replaced with a Narn outpost wasn't it?
My main turnoff with MP3 is that it *sucks* at low bitrates, often found with audiobooks.
Re: the whole iPod doesn't support Vorbis schtick...
The iPod is mostly marketing IMO, if that mental-buffer-overflow-exploit of an ad campaign ever stops, iPods will sink like a rock popularity wise.

If I were making battlestar galactica references I might have gotten it.
Talking about Mormons in the face of ly-diethylamide sergic acid is a bit weird, even for me, though.
Dude, a little bit of Mormon goes a *long* way.
Thats not a star trek reference, I don't get it either.
I don't get it.
Done a little too much LDS?
I haven't really grokked C yet, but I still hiss at the sound of C++.

Does NV need to go multicore? Just multiply the pipelines like they already do and they're set.
Did you know I'm still using a GeForce 2, and I'm okay with that!
If it only goes on for a day I think they'll be happy enough.
I'd rather wait for a less obscene profit margin.
