I'm sorry, if they're not knowledgable and interesting they must be wearing a red nose and pedaling a unicycle into a wood-chipper.
Which doesn't have any teaching value (beyond "don't do this") and as such they aren't running a class at all.
It reminds me of a seminar on genetics I went to where the person hosting knew about ten times as much as the actual person presenting (whoch mainly just quoted recent headlines, the stupid sounding ones mainly).
Make it interesting with a clown falling into a wood chipper and I'd go again, but not to learn.
Because a bunch of minorities is in the database, it's all wrong. If it were 200 White CEO's I'd bet most people would feel different.
Yeah, white CEOs are a majority. Its totally different from a minority.
Okay look here, we have the downtrodden minorities we all go awww, so sad about. And we have the really rich overprivledged minority who are encouragingscrewed up laws that further beat on the weaker minorities and the majority too.
So yes, if the government personified the business as the CEO and put them all on a list as likely to commit frauds and whatnot in the future then there would probably be audible cheering throughout the country.
The hard part is figuring out an envrionment where mice and roaches won't be happy enough that they need to create kerosene glands and wings and scales and horns and crap.:-)
Seeing RedHat 5.2 come up looking like Windows is why I have never looked back at it. The Windows appearance is typically tied to a certain mentality that I find disfunctional and draining.
Then again I used to be an Amiga user and used to laugh at everybody and everything for no reason in particular.
Still, I think I'll stick with Debian (which hasn't been working out for me, stubborn Amigan).
You can not copyprotect the senses (see, hear, etc......). If you can see it, you can copy it. If you can hear it, you can copy it.
Yeah, just wait until they start implanting pain chips in our brains as little kids to detect watermarks from media and respond with agony. It doesn't matter if you actually paid your dues to see it, you're going to copy it or quote it or something.
Unless you were in too much pain to remember it in the first place.:-)
One of the benifits of Open source is that even seldom used features are enhanced, so that when suddenly there is a demand for this the features are in place.
It also has the benefit of pissing off companies you license "3-D technologies" from after signing NDAs and stuff.
Raytracing is cool. I don't see how raytracing + voxels will work though (I imagine them as cubes, even if not, it'll take alot of fancy interpolation to get a sphere out of them).
How about raytracing + Constructive Solid Geometry?
Want a perfect sphere, fine, half of one, okay, twice as complex but hey, thats about two vertices worth of info. add a tube to make it a crappy tree and a ground and you've merely doubled it again.
The thing I like about CSG, is that the objects look solid.:-)
Really, we should have a branch of military that shoots on sight people found holding chalk. We could have them patrol schools since thats where drugs and gangs are.
instead of telling the owners of said networks about the problem, they covertly mark the information down so that others can use that network illegally.
This is the first time I've heard people were doing this covertly.
Also an open wireless network is an open wireless network, they should like close it or something if they don't want people who have the signal being beamed through their skull using it.
If people hop up and down going "WIRELESS, COOL! WIRELESS, COOL!" and then get posed with a question to which they respond "Security? Huh?" then they're hidelously unqualified and should be fired and blacklisted for compromising the business.
You don't walk around holding your wallet open and point it at people and mutely follow them around within a certain area and expect some people aren't going to look and maybe even take. You shouldn't be surprised when it happens.
I haven't read the article, but I was assuming this was more of a crypto filesystem that needs to be reminded the key to work and has a proximity forgetfullness.:-)
Airplanes are not software. ;-)
If you can avoid it, don't encode Vorbis from MP3s. The last thing we need is mp3 artifacts in .ogg files. YECH
.mp3 files to wavs.
I think thats worse than when people convert
It's a good thing I already converted all my MP3s to Windows Media!
*ducks*
Sorry, I'm outta mod points.
Actually, about 1.6 billion people (about 25% of Earth's total) don't have access to electricity.
:-)
Surely most anyone can make a loop of metal and twirl it around in Earth's magnetic field....

Since a large part of our language means beer in Austrailia. I'd imagine they'd design alot of wacky stuff.

Then when something has a bug, we can turn it off.
Based on what I've seen, no significant body would trade a .5 gigabyte song online anyways.
.mp3.
All
Mooo......
And they still haven't addressed recording from the audio out.
:-)
Or have they removed that part of the system?
As long as the mammoths aren't 12% frog and don't break past the electrified fences we should be okay.

Shouldn't your port the core DOOM3 executable to brainfuck first?
What about raytracing? What about voxels?
:-)

When is X-Box 16 bit color?
N64 was 21 bit output, X-Box uses nVidia stuffs (and nVidia doesn't have the 16 bit limitations that some of the voodoos had).
Why warn when you can just outlaw chalk!

Just wait until companies start putting crypto keys in devices buried deep in the employees brain. :-)

A 90 minute if statement?
Animated graffiti for whoever wants to put the effort into it. :-)
Isn't it about time Wil got his own section on Slashdot? :-)
