    The TI invention was not what we would consider an "IC". It had components, but it wasnt practical to mass produce. Not even TI followed up on its development.

    The real practical IC, with photoetched traces on a planar silicon substrate was developed by Fairchild.

    I never realized Morgan Fairchild was so intelligent.

    Between dark matter, dark energy, gravity, black holes, big bang, etc. it seems like we just conveniently make up "stuff" to fit some model or equation.

    Is that not the same statement many have made as to the reason man in early history believed in gods?

    No, they are private businesses. It's almost like the "No shoes, no shirt, no service" sign pointed out repeatedly in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

    However, freedom of speech? Come On! Is it a political opponents free speech to display their damn ad in my front yard now...or wait, would that be ME displaying an ad for say HUSTLER on my front lawn and protected by free speech?

    The Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building has been postponed due to inclement weather. The hearing is entitled "Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?"

    The hearing will be rescheduled to a date and time to be announced later.

    DC WEATHER REPORT:

    Wednesday: Freezing rain in the morning. Total ice accumulation between one half to three quarters of an inch. Brisk with highs in the mid 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph...increasing to northwest 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

    Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 18. Northwest winds around 20 mph.

    He came into it because he is currently the global warming champion. If you can think of someone else who has more face time in the national media and who's name is more synonomous with global warming please, feel free to mention them.

    Ok, just like Al Gore has "stated" that what he believes as fact. Both sides are guilty of stating their hypothesis as fact even to the point that Dr. Heidi Cullen at the weather channel believes those in disagreement with her should have their AMS certifications removed. Strong arm tactics don't you think?

    I'm personally glad he voiced his opinion on global warming. The sad fact that he is slowly being ostrasized for his differing viewpoint a black eye on the science community. Scientists should always question - if not, the world would still be flat.

    Yea, I don't do much with cars. Mostly fly giant scale 100cc airplanes where weight is a big issue and the lithium chemistry batteries can give a high continuous discharge rate for the high torque servos needed in 3D aerobatics.

    Have him switch over to glow fuel powered R/C vehicles. Charge up the batteries for the receivers and he can get a good 45 minutes+ out of them. Right now electric power in R/C is expensive for the high end stuff - batteries are anywhere from $30 to $300+.

    For all we know, the IIS sample used was executing ASP.NET pages that used some COM objects via COM Interop and Runtime Callable Wrappers. To handle the conversion between COM and managed code I could see there being that much inefficiency. However, the images are just too small to tell whats happening.
