    Yes. MSDN.net (been running RTM for many months) as well as general availability of earlier versions (RC1), etc. Many PC enthusiasts have been running some flavor of win7 for a long time now.

    I wont pay for news content period. There's very little out there that I have to have right now, and somewhere, someone else will have it for free. I might pay for a value added website, but not for news, which really is just raw material.

    Actually they tried, but couldn't afford it. The US defeated the USSR by outspending them and crippling their economy, and not just in the Naval arena.

    Idiots? No, but they couldn't afford it, so they went to the next best thing. They do have one carrier now I believe, but could never afford to field as many as the US can.

    I know this is the internet, were bashing Americans is what all the cool kids do, but if you're going to insult Americans, try not to do so from a position of ignorance. I know, its tough.

    I know you are all sheltered nerds and everything, but this isn't about IP, or any such silly thing. For a biker, his gang patch/colors is damn near sacrosanct. The cops know this, and by being able to just take it anytime they want, its a form of humiliation. It like taking a persons of faiths cross/hijab/torah whatever just because.

    When I was younger and worked in fire/rescue, we were actually trained to NEVER take a bikers jacket off in an emergency without permission from the biker or if he was unconscious his friends. Yes, they were that rabid about it. This is about humiliation, and the cops rubbing salt in the wound, to let them know whose boss. For guys who value independence and strength, its a big deal. HUMILATION, not IP or law enforcement. I for one find this very disturbing. Since when is it the polices job to humiliate and degrade people because of their affiliations? Oh wait.

    Wheres all the positive comments? This guy is a hero in my book. The ultimate in Nerddoom. He built his own jet powered wing and hes been flying and testing it for a long time, and now hes going to attempt something very dangerous and cool with it.

    All you guys posting "SEE WE DIDN'T DIE" are clueless. This was just test. They haven't actually fired it at full power, and they haven't actually collided anything yet. They just ran it at partial power, in each direction, one at a time. The end of world will come when they actually collide particles from opposite directions at full power. This wont happen for months, so get off the I told you so bandwagon AND READ THE FUCKING ARTICLE. Then and only then can you say we didn't die, but by then the black hole will kill us all or the stragelets will turn us into zombies and the apocalypse will be upon us.
