A possible, but expensive, way MySpace could reliably verify age of new users is to open staffed registration centers
So instead of minors lurking around outside the liquor store, trying to get a grown-up to buy them a case of beer, there'll be grown-ups lurking around outside of the MySpace kiosk trying to get kids to get them an account?:)
Well, for that to work, they'd need to go back to the original masters, first so that they can mix the backing track (everything but the guitar), and then to split the lead guitar track note-by-note. Licensing issues aside, I think it's just easier to assemble a cover track than to track down the masters / transfers of the individual unmixed tracks.
As great as the originals would be, the covers, by and large, weren't terrible, at least.
the state of Mass et. al. could do THEIR job and catch these pervs instead of off-loading the responsibility onto a company who's area of expertise is not law enforcement.
But that would mean that they'd have to get the Sex Offender Omnibus Reform Bill (or something to that effect) out of the Rules Committee, where it has been rotting for near two years. There was a site (a blog of a local radio host) that had a comprehensive outline of the provisions of the bill - some of it was damned creepy (knowing what we're apparently not being protected from under the current system).
Well, as I said the only thing that bothered me about it was that the conversation is too close to the one Han just had with Greedo. If anything, if they wanted to restore/finish the old Jabba scene, they should have just axed the exchange with Greedo, as they just ended up screwing that up. As it stands now, Han has the same conversation twice in the span of a couple of minutes.
I don't see why they aren't planning a theatrical re-releade - it's a no brainer. Look at Hollywood these days - remake, remake, sequel, remake. Why not more re-releases (not just of Star Wars, but of the classic Disney movies, or the Wizard of Oz)? Trifling production costs (the films have already been made and paid for many times over) + mass popular appeal = big profit margin. I'd rather see the original trilogy or something like Snow White on the big screen than an unecessary remake of "The Warriors" (wtf?), "Miami Vice" or "The Dukes of Hazard".
Yes! I am surprised that more people haven't bitched about this - and even then, it's always because of how he appears (small, mobile, making goofy facial expressions, etc, etc) and never that the conversation with him is damn near the same conversation Han had with Greedo just a minute before.
It always struck me as a bit hypocritical on the part of GL, when I'd hear his commentaries re: deleted scenes (how he always wanted to add the scene, but felt it extraneous or redundant, etc.) and then he'd go add all sorts of other extraneous, redundant footage, marketing them as "enhancements".
Don't get me wrong - I find his motives for going back and reworking the originals admirable. I just think the execution was poor, IMHO.
Great typo - seriously. You've inadvertantly invented a term that has accurately described more workplace collaborative efforts than I care to remember. Thanks!

it is not full of EMO ness most of you have no idea what that is
I think most of the "emo" kids don't really know what it's about or where it came from. But whatever. I still think it's silly.
and most people who say they are emo are not cutters get your facts straight
You just know that in 6-8 years' time, this is going to be somebody's Sociology Bachelor's dissertation...

Did china ever see a reason to pay billions of dollars for Windows? Just curious.
