Maybe thats how evolution has worked for us. Maybe when a woman is not able to conceive, she feels like crap and dresses down. Makes her less desirable, but this is a good thing from an evolutionary standpoint. When she is ready to conceive, she gets dressed up and feels good. PMS is evolution's way of telling a man that you don't want to mess around with this woman, she is no good.
I went to a Wal-Mart the other day, looking for add-ons for the Wii. The only thing that they had available was the Classic controller add-on. No systems, no controllers, nothing. But there were two PS3's for sell, several controllers, ect.
One example would be Audible Magic, a 'fingerprinting program' for video released a few days ago that promises to use peculiarities of recording and editing to tag and identify forbidden material.
Just how do they plan on enforcing this? Take away the adsense from a webmaster if they find a site that is violating this new procedure? I mean, sure, its a bit of an unscrupulous business practice, but in the end, doesn't make more money for Google too?
... to have some information like that. I know when I first got a cell phone plan, I had no clue as to who to go with. After joining up with Cingular, I find out that they don't cover my area really well, and that if I wanted coverage, I needed to go with Verison. I could have used that info early on, before getting stuck into a two year contract... Oh, and everything that we want to know these days seems to only help the terrorist. Anyone else notice that?
They need to update that movie with a baby born with a gamepad in hand, who crashes the classroom game design computer, and finds love while testing video games.
"Gradma's Boy"'s protagonist talked about someone playing and beating Zelda before they could walk, and the guy finds love testing video games. What else do you want man?
I remember reading somewhere at some point (gotta love my memory) that the main reason that console games are great, in the opinion of the writer, is the fact that they work when they get to you, and don't have to have any patches later on, like computer games. Well, there goes that idea...
RTFA... Im just a lurker for the most part and I can even do that!
Linus Torvalds, whose work on the Linux kernel is sponsored by OSDL, was not affected by the job cuts.
I must say, I concur. Big fan of Stephen King's works, the Dark Tower especially, and also of Terry Pratchett. I would have checked myself, but when you see things like this...
Come back soon. We're letting people back in slowly, as we recover from being Slashdotted.
Haha, sitting at a Freescale terminal, I clicked on the original link, and got redirected to an internal error page... I've done the same thing posting links from inside of Freescale, don't worry.
Whoa, ok, we are talking about the Hobbit. There is no Frodo or Sam at this point. Just trying to make sure this is clear. It only going to be Gandalf, Bilbo, and the Dwarves.
"Since Zune is a separate offering that is not part of the Plays For Sure ecosystem, Zune content is not supported on Plays For Sure devices... We will not be performing compatibility testing for non-Zune devices, and we will not make changes to our software to ensure compatibility with non-Zune devices."
I fail to see anything the article says being backed up by anything Microsoft said.
It says the Zune marketplace content is not Plays For Sure content. It does NOT say that the Zune is not Plays For Sure compatible.
I think Deathbane27 had this right. . . it says, Zune content is not going to work on Plays for Sure devices, not the other way around. Whats really going on here?
I wonder what this will mean for the employees of Freescale. I work as a computer consultant for Freescale's Oak Hill facility in Austin... Good thing I have a contract;-)
In Alien 3 the dog was infested by the alien parasite, just like the people were in all the other Alien movies. Those took on a humanoid apearance, while the alien that infested the dog took on a more dog-like apearance (if you can call it that).
In the Thing, the dog just ate it...
No relevance to the topic, just clearing up the other post;-)
So what if you were to create a program that mimicks traffic as though it were an IRC program? if you were to run that command through the port, what do you think will happen? I dont have symantec, so i cant test it

heh... maybe, but I was asking about the reasoning for linking the definition of the word defenestrate...
Are you trying to educate slashdotters?

Not a webmaster here. It was actually a legit question :-)

Whoa, before I read that I had no idea that Star Wars and the Muppets had a connection... Frank Oz is the man.
It may be unrealistic, but it was still funny!
Watch "Grandma's Boy"! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0456554

I have IPv6 on my Windows XP machine. And I can put whatever kind of cursor on there that I want.
Well you could be like me and have your works content filter block it for you. No gay shirtless men for me!
