    He was probably referring to the fact that Internet Explorer, by default, shows "friendly" HTTP and DNS error messages, such as "This page cannot be displayed."

    That part was definitely written incorrectly, but we all know what he meant (I hope).

    I worry that it will be too late by the time the public realises what is happening though.

    On the other hand, it might pave the way for a new business model: companies that release (and promote) DRM-free media, and mention such in their advertising campaigns.

    I think the biggest problem is educating the public about what DRM is.

    In my experiences, after explaining what DRM is to people that I know, they think it is the dumbest thing that they have ever heard.

    I am sure the public would reject it, but the problem remains then: how do we educate the public? :/

    Will there be anything (expected to be) fundamentally different about the Nintendo DS Lite? I have heard so much good stuff about the DS, I may buy one of the Lite's when they're available.

    It's always nice to be able to expand the uses of hardware in ways the developers never intended. :)

    I have Cox Cable, 5mbps down, 2mbps. I regularly download at 680 k/s (5.3mbps) and upload at 280 k/s (2.1mbps).

    I have never had a problem with their service.

    You should take a look at /usr/bin/dd

    Also (original poster), zero-fill doesn't guarantee unrecoverable data. Multiple overwrites (mentioned up above someplace) is the way to go.

    A 16 year old would still be at risk from "stalking" (or abduction, or whatever). Many teens on MySpace have enough personal information on there to be easily located by someone with basic detective skills.

    That is probably the counterargument that would be given.

    How does a function defined inside a condition get changed into opcode? Does it place a copy of both functions everywhere where Example() is called?
