These changes are stupid. They make the site's appearance less attractive, and announce information that really shouldn't be announced. Do I care that my friend removed "running" from his Interests? Not really.
To shit me even more, when I went to add other people as admins in groups I own, I kept getting an error stating that the group had more than 25 admins. Unfortunately, this was not correct, as I was the only admin in a large number of groups.
I thought Facebook was a great idea, but I will no longer use it.
How many times do you see teammates accidentally shoot each other on FF-enabled pubs?
Seriously, NOBODY looks at their radar. The general consensus seems to be: "If you hear footsteps, fire and hope it's not a friendly."
I look at it, because I can tell where enemy presence is by seeing who dies, and where they were. It helps IMMENSELY once you get used to it. (This applies to both 1.6 and CS:S)
If I were (one of the guys) in charge of Google, right about now I would be looking to create GMusic, a Google record label.
Offer fair prices on albums, and offer artists the majority of the profit (aside from what is required for operating expenses).
With all the piracy/lawsuits/RIAA crap that has been happening lately, I'm pretty sure at least a few major bands would jump at the chance to be part of a less evil label, and consumers would be happier/more inclined to buy from a label that actually supports their artists.
As long as people are running programs from administrator accounts, there will be far more security problems than there should be.
Maybe when Vista comes out (circa 2020 AD) and becomes widespread, this problem will be alleviated a bit. Those of us using other OSes (Linux, MacOS, etc.) are fine at the moment.
Let the "Red Sox are crap at baseball, therefore this company is doomed" posts commence. \o/
:P)

I actually "ragequit" Facebook today.

Which 'fuckers'?
A baseless claim against "the media companies" has your panties in a bunch?
"New patch released by to remove advertising in game."
EA can't and won't win.
I can already foresee the "Quit being nerds and actually try to talk to her" posts already.
:o
She won't bite.
Then I died.
You died? How are you posting on Slashdot then? Is the internet access fast <wherever you are>?
Well said, brother!
Half Life 2's graphics look pretty crap on any setup below the recommended though.
I, for one, would not enjoy playing through a boring game like HL2 on those graphics. It would just make it even worse. @_@
Keep in mind that Google also has some stock in AOL...
I wonder if monkey tastes good... watching those videos while hungry was probably not a good idea.

If they beat Valve to a release, it would be totally awesome.

A military intelligence.
Two words combined that can't make sense."

Oh yes, props to PK from #linux on irc.gamesurge.net for the pic. :)
I plan to purchase a DS, just so that I can play Nethack on it. O_O

It was at first (for about a year)... for no apparent reason.
Later released on PC with a little extra content.
Game had insane potential, but ended up being largely a waste.
Do not make them "XBox 360"-exclusive.
:P
We all saw how well that turned out for Fable.
</sarcasm>
Assuming that "Americans" is a single, proper noun, no.
Since "Americans" could be singular or plural, either is correct depending upon what you interpret it as being.

My first thought after seeing this article title was:

I believe that you are missing ten occurences of that word in your post, sir.

Be glad you're not around during her period. She'd really know how to be a bitch.

Haha, Office Space for the win.
Need more pauses and "ahhh..."s though.
