The article summary should not refer to the court as a "Massachusetts court." That means a STATE court of Massachusetts. This is a FEDERAL APPEALS COURT which just happens to be located in Boston.
Mr. Anonymous Coward, have you ever been involved in a court proceeding or even had any run-ins with the criminal justice system before? No? That's what I thought. Court affidavits can and DO get perjured, as a matter of course. Why would it necessarily be any more reliable than a Wikipedia post?
I would disagree with your view that Klaudt is a rapist. While he did insert his fingers into their vaginas, I disagree with the characterization of this as rape.
You need your head examined. There is nothing wrong with a 15 year old woman being with a 27 year old man. That has been happening since the dawn of mankind. My mother in fact was 15 when she got married, to a much older man. The world is != U.S.A.
Many other cultures do not have the ridiculous practice of treating people past puberty as children that the U.S. seems to have.
Why would YOU get 25 cent per gallon oil? Bush's corporate friends at Exxon, Chevron, etc. would much rather pocket the profits, and continue charging you $2.50 a gallon.
There's actually a new CompUSA retailer, it's what used to be the TigerDirect.Com retail stores/outlets. They are now called CompUSA, same old logo and everything. There's only a few locations nationwide, Raleigh and Durham being two that I know of. The store itself looks nothing like the old CompUSA, and actually has prices and products more along the line of Micro Center.
No, they won't realize anything. They won't be prosecuted. Cops break the law all the time and never get prosecuted for it. The laws only apply to what the police call "civilians" (even though they are supposed to be a "civilian" police force).
It IS the prosecutor's fault, because he probably engages in selective prosecution of the law. I doubt he is prosecuting everybody who gave a fake age on Myspace. He is using this law specifically for this circumstance. Selective enforcement of laws is dangerous, and prosecutors are guilty of it too.
It's already extremely easy to get a warrant. The magistrate acts as a rubber stamp, and never verifies the claims made by the police in their search warrant affidavits. I speak from personal experience that the police will make bald-faced lies, with impunity, in order to secure search warrants. And they are never punished for this behavior.
Sadly, but truly, accurate. I went through my entire educational experience in Fairfax County and as students, we were constantly reminded by teachers and administrators of what a great school system we had the good fortune of being educated in. Absolutely an elitist attitude, and one that I am not so sure is accurate. The test scores probably speak more to the education level of the community and the level of parental involvement, rather than the skills of the teachers. I had plenty of abysmal teachers, and was taught many inaccurate and misleading lessons. Unfortunately I never went to school in another district, so I can't easily compare.
There is already software out there to sift through hundreds of thousands of documents or e-mails to find the relevant e-mails that contain the "smoking gun" evidence. I know because I work for a company, Extractiva, that has been developing and selling e-discovery software for almost 9 years. The basic process is to extract the data from e-mail stores and container files, then create an index that can be searched. You can also image everything into TIFF or PDF so it is easy to review. Other tools exist for searching through collections and a number of vendors provide these tools. One that I am familiar with is Stratify, based out of California. They do context sensitive searching and indexing.
That's why I see no place for women in business. They aren't the most rational beings either...
Yes, I'll probably get "modded down" as a sexist troll, but this is the truth, plain and simple. There are always exceptions to the rule, but I'd say 75% of women act irrationally 99% of the time.
You need to check your sources, or have you even been to NYC before? New York has NO country stations. That's right - not even a single country station in the NYC market area.
In her 11th grade AP English class, she tried to talk to Seung. The kid just turned away and ignored her, as he had ignored everyone else. People reached out - Seung drew himself away.
My sister happened to be in the same graduating class in high school as Cho Seung-Hui. She was in the same 11th grade AP English class at Westfield High School. She recalls that many of her friends and she herself tried to talk to Seung, but he would only stare down and look away, ignoring all attempts to speak with him. In English class, when it was Seung's turn to read, he would remain silent. Clearly you can't blame others for his behavior - people tried to reach out to him on many occasions, but he remained cold and distant.
Call the prosecutor and let him know what you think of him. The receptionist would not put me through without a bit of argument. Apparently he has been receiving a lot of angry phone calls. SMITH, David J. Criminal Justice, Division Of (860) 889-5284 david.smith@po.state.ct.us
This is not like Ford refusing to warranty their 2000 model cars. This would be like someone finding out that the 2000 model Ford cars speedometer malfunctions once the year hits 2007, and Ford refusing to provide a simple fix that keeps the speedometer functioning. Microsoft is way out of line for refusing to offer a patch to fix this problem.

Everyone knows Scalia and Thomas are both lunatics who almost always vote against the fair and just outcome.
Okay, then why would the jury vote to convict him, if it would have been better left for an employment issue?
I get the feeling you have never spent a day in jail. If you knew what it felt like, you'd probably have decided differently.

Cops are allowed to lie to people, but it's somehow illegal to lie to them? Sounds like a bullshit double standard to me.
Just another fine example of our justice system at work. Let me guess: your friend took a plea bargain and did not fight the charges in a jury trial?

Was I asleep when congress declared war on Iraq?
Oh yeah, this isn't a war. It's "Operation Iraqi Freedom".
I am in no way required to support an undeclared war.
I've worked on many Nissan, Toyota, and Mazda cars and everything is metric in those cars.
The 1/2 inch may have just happened to fit because it needed a 13 mm socket. 1/2 inch is 12.7 mm which is close enough..

No, he meant felicitous. Read it again. It makes sense.
