In California, it's almost $50 a month for a 380W server. I switched to an old 14W netbook with an SSD and a 4TB drive hanging off the USB 2 port, which acts as a file server just as well. It can't transcode, but I store everything in MP4 anyway. I turned off the Wifi and Bluetooth radios and saved another 4W.
They do make little profit on the car. They make money on 1. giving horrible financing, 2. selling overpriced extras, 3. service. The profit percentage on 1 and 2 are higher than 3.

A guy on my street runs a repair shop at a dealership. According to him, they make all of their money in the finance office, because people can't math.
This is how mortgage companies get around the "you can't own Escrow companies" law. ABC Mortgage... meet ABC Escrow, an "independently-owned" corporation which only works exclusively with ABC Mortgage.
Although it was a kids' movie, Bedtime Stories was a really good movie compared to most of the dreck he puts out. I think that's the last quality thing he has touched.
If these other countries' education systems are so great, then why is everything invented in America? Because we (used to) take the time to allow people to think creatively. This includes recess, music, art and after-school playing around the neighborhood. As these things disappear from the education system, so will our lead in invention.

This is so true. I'm a cord-cutter and my internet went down on Saturday and I watched a show on Plex specifically BECAUSE it's over my network.
