I had the same problem. I use the 'Hide Caption Titlebar Plus' addon to ensure the tabs are flush with the top of the screen. I love the layout of Chrome but I don't like its Yeti-like footprint.
I do a fair bit of SQL scripting in my day job and my right-hand pinkie works fine.
I know programmers traditionally like to preserve their energy for building up their fat stores, but you can spare a tiny bit.
That's more of a preventative measure than a solution. Try telling some student that has lost all of his college work that the solution is to go back in time and backup his files.
Unfortunately, the only solution in this event is to pay $120 to the crooks.
First came OpenOffice. Then came OpenOffice.org. Ladies and Gentleman, we are proud to present OpenOffice.org.org.
Hey the http://org.org/ domain doesn't seem to be being used for much.
By the sounds of it, i'd say this was written by someone who sat in on a "Future Combat Systems for Dummies" presentation.
I'd imagine the "healing" process is equivalent to services restarting themselves when they fail.
What can IE's competitors use to differentiate themselves from IE (to the average user) in Vista-land?
Extensions. I tell friends about increased security, they don't seem too phased. I tell them about tabbed browsing, XP groups their IE windows so they don't much care. However, when I tell them about ad blocking and mouse gestures and show them what a few greasemonkey scripts can do, they see some worthwhile benefits.
Microsoft like to offer a solid inflexible interface, because that is what newbies are most comfortable with. Firefox extensions entice users who want to move away from this rigidity.

Judging from the sales of Super Mario Bros. on Wii, this horse is far from dead.
Dilbert already called it. He invented the Tomeato. It didn't go down well!
That is useful. I hope you quote that to the next hooded gentleman who stops you on the street and asks for your mobile phone.

Couldn't this be done using regular sql and an indexed timestamp column?

Your post came across as whiney and attention-seeking. The reason it was marked -1 Troll is because there is no -1 Pointless [citation needed].
hmm.. sounds like something a sex offender might say...
Conclusion: Myth Plausi;,. .. .
You're right. Progress is a pain in the arse!

Somewhere a New Line Cinema executive is having a eureka moment
(The second checkbox only becomes active when the first is ticked)
This presents the user with less choices and the additional options make sense.
