Don't worry about it, just don't whine about "coding your shit cross-platform". Who knows, perhaps the developer is just as much of a hater of other platforms.
Well I disagreee. It's just a big box of legos. It still deserves praise, but not because of being art or not, but because it's a sandbox game coded by one guy, independently, and was successful. I'm still waiting for the prize to go to some game that might actually be close to art, such as Pathologic.
... I don't see what the big deal is. It isn't like it's going to bite you.

Imagine for a moment. You're next computer is going to force you to relearn a whole bunch of stuff. Knowing your past computing experience and knowing how easy it's been for new Apple users, would you not be the least bit interested in demoing a new Apple iMac?
No. I'd go for Linux, which a lot of "computer savvy" people would have recommended me, because it's free in every sense of the word and support for older hardware and software will be there, which , if I've kept XP for over 10 years, it's something I'd be interested in.
I'm not so sure of what you mean, but I kinda get it. Middle class might have a better life. Lower income population will die out and vanish without a trace. Makes sense: a solution really worthy of Skynet's reasoning.

Milton Friedman was quite a sarcastical jackass. (I have, of course, no idea who he was. This is also my cue to google his name)
Probably. But, to the people's credit, just imagine such a revolution led by truly educated people. That would be certainly different. Not sure if it would even work, but it would be interesting to see.
I never said anything remotely similar. I just said that, against all odds, the public higher education in Venezuela is probably better than the privately owned.
I'm not goinna talk about whether the bulk of the population is educated or not, that's beyond the scope of this argument.
I wonder how people could believe Facebook isn't tracking them when there are so many sites that indeed do use a FB creds to log in and participate. Thick-headed much?
Weren't you already avoiding Ubisoft? The only way I'd play one their games is pirating them. All these decisions piss me off and makes me wonder if they really want to stay in business.
People vastly overstimate the impact of Minecraft. The fact that it was successful does not mean that it was good. People bought it because they had fun with it and it was an indie game. That's about it. It's a good game, but as a videogame, it's flawed. You need to do everything, and depends entirely on you to continue, you need challenge yourself, and there is bassically no point going on.
I honestly expected something slightly interesting, but seeing TFA stealthly bashing.NET I decided this wasn't worth my time, and instead, I typed a complain here.
I'd rather have interesting mechanics with so-so tales. You know, because an interesting plot won't force me through a game, but an interesting gameplay will make me ignore the plot. Unless you're one of the Halo generation. No offense, there are different opinions.
Mod parent up!
The problem I do have with that, is that these "new" franchises that are successful, at least in FPS, are virtually the same game: straightforward, seemingly deep, military rail shooters disguised as free roaming games. Others, such as Far Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Mercenaires and now even postal 2, are the same muck around sandbox games disguised as action games as adventures. Frankly, out of all those games, very few games actually try something different, and, as a result, they are chastised (CRYSIS!)(Oops caps) for ridiculous critics that manage to manipulate the general reception.
I'm really concerned about Deus Ex: human Revolution. The beta shows me a good game with some console leftovers (regen health), but it's far from the rest of the crop.

He's talking about XP.
And I suppose we have to side with them just to stick it to THE MAN.
My point exactly. The gap is much bigger now.

You know that's not how the real world operates.

Which is hillarious when you consider that Venezuela have a great education system and free universities that are arguably better than the paid ones.
Talk about missing the point.

They are planning to run it on torrents. Yup.
Weren't you already avoiding Ubisoft? The only way I'd play one their games is pirating them. All these decisions piss me off and makes me wonder if they really want to stay in business.
I think that will not happen. It's way more likely for fans to continue developing the engine.
