Just a security hole of Slashdot. You can find this kind of hole in all sites which has a forum. I think that in site like e-trade you can make some people asks for stocks.

i've been posting on slashdot for many months now, and i've never meta-moderated. is there something i'm missing here? i've moderated many times, but am i doing something wrong?
I remember when I was working on my first "real" Perl script for work I had a big problem that I couldn't grasp and tried to find help on IRC. I think it was either UnderNet or DalNet where I stumbled into #perl and found a bunch of people socializing, no one providing help.
One person pointed me to the server irc.linpeople.org, and then second I joined #perl there and asked my question there were 3 individuals offering help.
From a channel list I just checked, they have channels on palmOS, php, livid, and many others (including Slashdot!), so I'd recommend anyone looking for some help to check out that server.
How would a malicious web site operator get me to visit his site? This would be a question of social engineering. The malicious web site operator could not force you to come to his site against your will; he would need to entice or persuade you to do it through some means.
Obviously, no one at MSFT has ever been to a porn site...
While I can't find any comparison of PHP vs. CF (ASP vs. CF can be found though), I can tell you that ColdFusion does cache queries, which is something I ran into today while working on our forum code (NOT the Allaire Forum code mind you). =)
Children who share an AOL account with their parents could rattle off their parents' favorite sites at the dinner table. This would surely lead to a heart-warming discussion of family values.
That's a very novel idea, but the problem still arises that you have to pick up the phone, say "hello", and realize that they hung up. It's still a waste of time. =)
Holy crap, you're right. =) I think it probably does have to do with the fact that I couldn't get Netscape to bring up the page because the adservers weren't responding. Thanks for pointing that out though!

Thanks for the link to ZoneLabs, I hadn't heard of that program before. I've been using it for a few minutes and it looks pretty useful.

Of course there are OTHER is.god subdomains.. anybody ELSE have good ones? =)
I'm preferential to sig.is.god
Talk about your recursive domains...

Host names should be permanent. They define resources--and not legal jibberish. Legal jibberish can change anytime a judge farts.
Isn't that actually how legal jibberish was created? (At least it's how I was taught in my school.) =)

Only in a Quickies topic would a link to JeffK's "Wacky Fun Computar Comic Jokes" be ALMOST on-topic. =)
