It's funny that they say "Embedding disabled by request".
They removed the ready-made embed tag, but you can still easily embed it using the video ID from the URL. Like for this Modest Mouse video, just copy the embed tag from a non-disabled video & replace it's ID with HLkC8l3nJro....
Wow, thanks for posting that long ass thing. Although i don't really agree with some of the specific points you made, you go the gist of it enough to get me thinking.
I'm definately no elitist.. not even an "A" coder, but i really hate Java. I think, for me at least, Java is just a symbol of the 'new' computer industry. The college kid's & corporate suit's computer industry.
Not sure if Java simply had bad timing, or is just generally stood up for by the wrong kind of people (college kids & suits). I don't like the language itself, but i might have used it, if it wasn't such a strong symbol of the curruption of our industry.
Our jobs have gone corporate & our networks have gone public. The geeks have to lash out at something.. and Java seems to be attatched (though not necessarily by function) to the root of it.
By the sound of things here Hotmail is still in the process of doing the 250MB upgrades. I had been waiting on mine forever, but it jumped up to 250 ~a week ago, or so.
I'll still use gmail 98% of the time, but it's nice to know they won't delete my legacy account if i get in the 2MB range.
About the upgrades, i'm not sure how/if they sort the process, but i've been a user since back in the HoTMaiL days.
yeah, that site's gone now.. but you can find what's left of it here: http://web.archive.org/web/19991128081135/h ttp://w ww.ittc.ukans.edu/~botanika/warning_label.htm Tha nks Way Back Machine!
Great! I just finished a smoke.. i should be good for @ LEAST another 45 min. or so.. but no, after reading 2 pages of smoke talk i can feel it bad! erg!!!
Currently if you buy blank CDs/tapes you pay the RIAA a 'pirating tax'. So, by any logic, you should then be free to copy the music CDs you choose because you're paying for it..
But wait, what's this! Copy Protected CDs..
I don't see how they can release these non-cds & still charge us on blank media..
Yep.. There's a select in there if you want to play 2 player:
U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,B,A,SEL,START but 1 player is as stated above...
ah.. Contra, still fun!!
Personally, i don't think MS, or any software publisher, should take the blame for something like a virus.
Do we blame the carmakers for making unsafe cars when somebody plants a bomb on it? Or do we sue the people who make windows when a brick comes flying through and hits us in the eye?

Even though they said something about requiring an EULA to download the firmware over two weeks ago, it's still freely available from their site.
myhava.com/support_downloads_hava.html
For the, "Firmware - 32 bit version" (4.4 MB), just strip the first 96 bytes & mount it as a cramfs image.
Or even worse than that, imagine if they were so superficial they lost all ability to infer meaning..

*sigh*
Well, while i agree with most everthing you just said, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.
I'm going to distribute this CD to everybody i can, & tell them, if they like it, to copy it for others!
Even if it never gets a fraction of the market, more users are always good, even if it is just a few.
Isn't that what keeps OSS going?

I don't know about you, but $24M seems like a lot to me!!
Dry Ice + Alcohol Works Great!
Add Dry Ice to 90% Pure Alcohol untill it stops sublimating, & you'll end up with a cheap liquid around -78.5C (-109.3F).
A Nice alternative to Liquid Nitrogen, pretty much the best Temp for your $$..
so now my bandwidth won't matter?!? ping theSun... request timed out.. request timed out.. 8 min. HPB..

No, of course not!! It's not MS's fault....
