Right. That makes sense. I understood the rule to be while in jail or on parole you lose the right to vote, but once your sentence is finished (off parole/probation) all your rights are returned. A lot of people like to say that once you are convicted of a felony you can NEVER vote again. There are programs here in CA that are trying to get people (ex-convicts) to realize the truth.
Hey...that's what they've done with votes. (Once you're a felon, you lose your right to vote. Nice way of biasing the vote pool.) Where exactly do they do this? Do you have a list of states that implement this rule?
I agree with you. I did exactly that during my 20's. I spent all my time pursuing what I really wanted to do and when that didn't pan out I became a sysadmin........
I live in CA and my brother-in-law is a licensed contractor.
As for the question of fluorescent requirements in new/remodel building.......the answer is no. You do have to use fluorescent lighting in the kitchen and maybe the bathroom. The rest of the house you can use whatever. I think there are incentive programs for using fluorescent lights in new homes.

I have a question along those lines. I cannot seem to figure out if I have a mythtv backend with 2 capture cards, if I run the front end does the signal go over ethernet to the front end and the signal then decoded and displayed and if so how do I deal with sound? Do I keep a sound card in the front end and can I run that to my receiver for my stereo to have the surround sound?
Well I see it like this. The world has been giving AID to alot of the same countries that will be in line for these laptops for a LONG time. We are still giving them food and aid. Seems to me it is time to change course a little and try something new. Give the man a fish he eats for a day........so on and so forth......

Should we all just accept the fact that everyone in the world is now a potential threat to the United States, including its own citizens? It is this statement that is frightening. When the the US gov't is threatened by it's own people, it is certainly time for the people to be afraid of their gov't.
My brother/sister in law get held and questioned EVERY time they fly because their two year old child has the same name as some IRA guy from a long time ago. Nevermind that they see the boy and realize he is two years old. They still have to go to the back room and explain who they are, where they are going, why are you here..........
you do have a point but I guess it really depends on where he is going to jail. If it is county jail in podunk USA he will have a nice vacation. If it's LA county jail then he might wanna pay the fines.....
sorry dude but jail is a pretty harsh place. Even the county. I understand he broke the law but just as was stated earlier, the punishment doesn't fit the crime. If the crime is copyright infringement then he should pay restitution or something like that. Fines as well.....
Sorry.....
I bought a car that was produced for California in 1987and was originally sold to a Californian in California. Everything was fine until recently the smog laws got harder and harder to pass. So my 1987 car does not have to pass 1987 smog laws but 2005(6) laws. It is kinda difficult to make a car from 87 pass the test for 06. I know.......get rid of the car.......well the car has 68K original miles and has only gone up in value since I bought it. I am all for the environment and all that but things are getting a little ridiculous.....Oh yeah......my car is stock. Now my car sits in my garage undriveable. Thats fine because it goes up in value but I really didn't buy it as an investment.......

Not only that but the other carriers are not protected like the USPS. The gov't doesn't need a warrant to search anything from FedEX UPS DHL.........

We have guns, and it should stay that way. The unfortunate part is they have tanks and jets! Maybe we can get them with numbers!?
