Well I will say to anyone who will listen. WEAR HEARING PROTECTION. I wore it all the time except during live shows and I definitely have diminished hearing. Not bad but I can tell it is not as good as it used to be. Live it is so hard to hear everything that even good earplugs tend to get in the way.
It's funny too because my buddy and I were having this very discussion about the new album when it came out. He was comparing to MoP, and how this was better, I told him he is nuts. Master of Puppets has its share of problems but is light years better than this production. I will say I am a little surprised because Rick Rubin usually does a halfway decent job with metal.....
I was in a band and engineered many of our records. One of the things we do is compare our recordings to those of other bands on spectrum analyzers and such tools to see how levels and frequency ranges compare. WAY too often we put in other bands records and they are off the top and are clipping all over the place. The problem is that the industry sets a sort of standard for loudness and you kinda have to follow or your record sounds quiet. When it comes to metal you really have to be loud because of the whole in your face obnoxious aspect of the music. It sucks because those who are sensitive and can hear this hate it.
I agree. The day the black album came is the day I wept (figuratively), as the band I grew up with turned their back on me and so many other. Today is a new day for those who were abandoned. The album is good although it is only good because Load(of shit) and the other later albums actually happened. Compared to the real Metallica it is still low on the chart. It does have some balls though.
I wonder if self-preservation in people can be measured in such ways that a fear or objection to gay marriage is self-preservation of the species? Is there any way it goes that deep? I think that might be a stretch but I would like to see data on that in terms of this study.
5K mistake on his taxes? Are you serious? I could have come up with a better retort than that. This is important stuff for big boys. The kids table is over there.
Now to the matter at hand.
She is gonna be V.P. If she is lying to her state what is she gonna do in D.C.? Messing up on taxes is not hard to do. But I will agree he should be able to afford an accountant.
The difference here is that I don't think Obama can really handle the job either. The people in this country better wake up and they better do it soon. I am certainly not going to defend the Dems but comparing getting a blowjob to a $9 trillion debt and baseless war is kinda ridiculous. What America needs is real leadership and unfortunately there isn't anyone in ANY of the parties, (dem, rep, lib, green, peace and freedom, American indy) that can really do it.
The sooner all of you on this site stop bickering about lipstick and pitbulls the sooner we may be able to make a difference and save our fine country. Forget about abortion and taxes for a sec. We are facing a depression no different than 1929 and we are worried about if Palin has as much experience as Obama or vise versa. The problem is McCain and Obama and Biden all have too much experience. We need someone smart and honest who really wants to save this country. All these jokers you people support do not give a shit about you. Only their power and their money. If you have to die so that they can succeed, then that is exactly what will happen. WAKE UP!!!!!

It's been 1 hour, 30 minutes since you last successfully posted a comment. WTF? Taco.... I was joking dude.... Where's Denise when I need her?
The thought of that happening kills me. Even if 90 % of voters were sure to vote your way it is still your civic duty to go vote. No matter what the expected outcome. VOTE!
In addition to that, New Orleans is the birth place of one of the few cultural items that we as Americans have given to the world. If we cared at all about America and the world we would spend whatever it takes to protect New Orleans and Mississippi, to ensure it is preserved for future generations to see.
What makes his inexperience any less questionable than Palin's?
She is a 2 yr gov. and mayor of a small town. She has a journalism degree.
He has 2 yr in Senate and 8 years in state leg. He has a law degree and taught constitutional law for 12 years.
Not considering how he got to those positions in the Senate and state leg. It seems to me Obama has more experience and it is pertinent to the job of the president.
ok... sure thing. How did the fire start then? If building 7 (1 block away) caught fire from debris then why didn't the buildings directly adjacent (couple hundred feet maybe) to the towers catch fire? They had a lot of damage from debris yet no fire. I cannot believe that it is accepted that a building that far away collapsed as a result of some debris but the buildings right next to it did not suffer the same or similar fate.
I replied earlier in the thread about how I feel about Obama and McCain. Look, they both have changed their stance on positions they previously held because they think it will help them get elected. Maybe it will. As I said earlier, I do not believe either of them are ready to be president, and the fact that they can change their positions so easily is testament to that. I don't necessarily have a problem with someone changing their view, but when it is obvious they are doing it to get elected then there is a problem. A president needs to be able to analyze problems and make decisions without having everyone second guess them or their motives.
I get Obamas short comings and find plenty of fault with him as a candidate. I see the same in McCain. The unfortunate truth is that we will never have a chance to vote for someone who truly should be president because they are too smart to run for office. The most qualified candidates in the primaries were laughed off stage.
BTW, I am not beating up on McCain anymore than I am on Obama. I am an Equal Opportunity Offender.....
I am confused then. If the summary says no debris hit building 7, but 'debris from the other building started the fire', then there is something wrong.
Yeah but it says that nothing hit building 7. I love that me asking a serious question makes me a troll.... Only on/. You guys do get that no airplane hit building 7 right?
I would love to stick to the science. I did not read TFA, but I would be interested to know how the fire started. The summary said:
The main conclusion is that the building came down due to fire, not due to debris damage or some conspiracy demolition team.
If nothing hit the building, then why did it all the sudden catch fire right at the same time as the other buildings collapse?
No conspiracy here, I am asking seriously...... Was there an investigation as to what caused the fire?
As much as I would like to reply to each of your points, I will reply to this...
No, they are surrounded by the people that their experience tells them they need around them. Again, lack of worldlieness in that regard is a real factor.
I agree with you that Obama is lacking experience. But who of the Democrats would fit the "experience" bill the best? Bill Richardson? He is certainly worldly, and has depth. Joe Biden? He is one of the most experienced when it comes to international affairs and foreign policy? He and Richardson. Hillary? Well she was married to a man who is revered as one of the better presidents so I suppose that accounts for something. I am not knocking her, she is smart, touch and would have been a good choice. To me she suffers the same problems as Obama.
Where am I going with this? The presidency, a job that having experience is certainly a plus, does not necessarily require it. Having wisdom to know who to surround yourself with shows a fundamental understanding of what it takes to be president.
I will also say that this discussion would do much better in real time and person. It is too hard to have a real discussion about this subject in this format. For the record I don't think Obama or McCain are ready for the office.
I suppose Reagan, and Clinton for that matter, were fully experienced and ready to take the helm from the moment they took office. All this talk of experience is driving me nuts. I imagine there are very few who are actually ready for the stress and have the depth necessary to be the president. Certainly no one in the current running. However when someone becomes elected, they are surrounded by people with all sorts of experience in many different fields. This is how a president is successful, by surrounding themselves with the right advisers. You think because McCain was beaten in Vietnam that he is somehow more qualified to be the President? I get he has been in the Senate longer, but that is NOT presidential experience.
Except that if things really ever got to that point it is likely the country would be split and the military would also have splinter factions that support the revolution. Remember that the military is just a bunch of 'us'. I would expect most of the military to support the Union but there would certainly be access to commanders and weapons. Obviously this is an extreme example.
Except that in the mean time the company that got the patent is in litigation and costing lots of people lots of money. It is true that ultimately the patent will be overturned, but how much will innocent people have to pay until that happens. I agree that patents are generally an encumbrance to innovation but we should at least wait to see what is done with this one before passing judgment.

That is generally true but producers sometimes have a lot of influence over the sound without turning knobs.
Funny, I thought the way to do that was to CLEANSE THE SOUL!

Wouldn't it be nice if we had country where people could help themselves instead of relying on handouts from republicans?
I wonder if self-preservation in people can be measured in such ways that a fear or objection to gay marriage is self-preservation of the species? Is there any way it goes that deep? I think that might be a stretch but I would like to see data on that in terms of this study.

yes, this is pretty much why cops aren't crack dealers too......
The nearest STABLE and ABOVE SEA LEVEL region is called Arkansas.......
So I am being sarcastic, but literally, the highest point in Louisiana is 535 feet. Mt. Driskill.

For the record I likely will not vote for Obama.
I appreciate a thoughtful response.

I digress..... Silverstein gave the order to pull the building.
Those are HIS words. Not mine. This whole topic is ridiculous.

well, I don't actually drive 65 on 280,or 75 for that matter. It helps to know the standard CHP hiding spots ;)
