  1. Digitizers? on Computer Mouse Heading For Extinction · · Score: 1

The Wiimote is nice, but trying to do anything with precision in Photoshop would be impossible!

I prefer my Wacom Digitizer/tablet. It has a mouse and pen. The mouse is for general use, but the pen is when accuracy is needed.

I can see where some of these other input methods are nice, and have their uses... But I doubt that the mouse is really that close to being replaced yet.

I do not think that the WiiFit is trying to replace a gym. But for some people this looks like a good workout machine.

I have various health problems. And I have noticed that sense I have gotten my Wii almost a year ago, that I have been playing the Wii Sports on a regular basis. (2-3 times a week for at least 30 minutes) And I have noticed that it has helped with my health a lot.

So I am planning on getting a WiiFit so I can add to my exercise routine. If I do it once or twice a week that should help even more.

The computer that does my BitTorrent stuff is set at level 255 (The lowest setting). That way it only uses the "Leftover" bandwidth.
There is also a setting where I can just block BitTorrent traffic also.

My response would be to warn him that if he does not fix the settings on his Torrent client, that you will have to change the router settings to allow others to use the Internet, and his torrenting may be completely blocked.

So instead of trying to get all wireless communications to stop, they should work to develop clothing that blocks such waves so that they are not effected, or effected less. (Faraday Cage based shirts maybe)

Asking the public to go without Wireless communication just because a minority of the population gets discomfort would be like...
Little people requiring all public places to have little people accessible areas. Hotels would be required to have several rooms that are designed for their shorter stature... Public restrooms would have to have special stalls and lower sinks... Grocery stores would be required to have all products 4 foot or below... You get the idea.

And if they whine about how their special clothing is expensive, than they can kiss by ass! My wife has to use a power wheelchair. The costs over $10,000 USD!! (More than my van!) I also had to purchase a folding ramp to load and unload her wheelchair from my ramp... To the tune of $450.00. If I wanted to have a power lift installed... That would be another few thousand.

So they can get themselves clothing that blocks these signals! And if a single one of them owns a cell phone, 2.4 ghz cordless phone, uses anything BlueTooth, or has a WiFi router (WiFi on) should be tattooed on the forehead with "I am a publicity whore".

Oh want a hardware firewall for your wifi? No Problem! Make a WiFi version that is powered off of the USB port. Give the little box 2 wifi transcivers. One is the WAN transciver that connects to the internet, the other one is a LAN transciver that connects to your laptop!

Then they delayed the release date. I was disappointed but still ready to purchase.
Then they decided to release a 3 button wimpy device first, I was disappointed but waiting for the real thing.
Then they announced it would be B&W, then they changed their minds a day or so later and said it would be color again. I realized that they did not care about anything except yanking people's chains. I became disinterested.
Then they announced a $1,200+ price-tag. I am no longer interested.

They way they have handled themselves acting like a rock-star when they have YET to release an "OMG I have to have it" device so they have not earned that attitude yet.

Now that fancy OLED keyboard has decreased in value to me from $400.00 to $30.00 or less. If I happen to see one in a discount bin somewhere for less than $30.00 then I might consider getting one, maybe. However I might also just pass on it. I would hate to give my money to a company that behaves like they are the king of the world, when they are far from earning that title.
