  1. WTF ? on Zune Not Compatible With Windows Vista · · Score: 5, Insightful

Please. That might be because the OS is NOT OUT YET, and that it will be added as a supported OS when it is ?

Yes. Of course, Microsoft won't support Zune on his next OS. Thanks Slashdot. That wins the 'biggest troll story ever' award.

  2. Open Source is not a panacea on How Do You Make a Profit While Using Open Source? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Sell support. If you want to sell your product per see, then you can't go Open Source. Why all the ideological bullshit about Open Source ? What kind of idea behind Open Source does your boss like ? The fact that he can get free programmers ? I doesn't work that way. Maybe you want a shared source license with your customers.

It's not even such a big deal if they break all their teeths since they'll lose 'em anyway ! Has there, ever, been an incident of someone ever dying or being permanently crippled as a result of a tag-induced injury ? Touch-football was invented because football was deemed too dangerous without appropriate equipment, and I can agree with that somewhat. Now we are saying that the sport specifically designed to be a non-dangerous version of football is itself dangerous ? "My son feels safer now." Good for him, I bet he wasn't playing in the first place then.

  7. XNA is sitffling ? on Game Innovation by the Bedroom Coder · · Score: 3, Interesting

What the hell... Except the fact that it is limited to Managed code, there's nothing stiffling about XNA. The only thing it does is provide you with a Game class you derive from, and the Start()/Update()/Draw()/End() methods. The other components, including even the Graphics component, are entirely optional, and if you find them 'stiffling', just don't use them. The architecture for a 'we need to suit all kind of games' product is very good.

They're trying to drive us out of business."

The other accepted a position at another company, is still praising its (past) employer and is maintaining good relations with them.
