Try any Adobe product. With your left hand on the mouse, try using copy/paste. The left-handed shortcut is CTRL+INS/SHIFT+INS. This works on virtually every windows application, EXCEPT those made by Adobe where you are forced to use the right-handed CTRL+C/CTRL+V, which is virtually impossible to do with your left hand on the mouse. As a web UI dev, this is a complete pain is the ass.
In Grade 11 (1982) we were forced to use he punch-card machines in com-sci class for the first week. The deck would be sent over to the Board of Ed office and run on their machine overnight, then your printout would be sent back to your school the next day. It was a lesson in being accurate and checking your work, which was sadly lost on the bunch of us.
Then came the day where I found this drawer where all the "holes" went. This resulted in a big confetti fight in the teacher's parking lot.
Next week we moved onto using the TRS-80 Model One, with casettes. Oh joy!
I agree. WYSIWIG is handy for marking-up blocks of *copy* with pre-defined styles. It ends there. Professional drivers don't use automatic transmissions, they do it manually, so should any self-respecting web developer.
Whenever they use the term "software program", I think -- what else would it be, a "hardware program"? It's right up there with "ATM Machine", which would be an automatic teller machine machine. A machine that makes ATMs! I want one.
WYSIWYG editors are never true representations of what you're going to see in a browser (choose which one) anyway. You're far better off simply previewing in the browser and using Firebug Etc. to be your "split view".
There are some things that are useful in DW - such as table manipulation, which I found indispensable when doing online annual reports and similar work. Paste-from-Word is also useful. Aside from that, the WYSIWYG is a bit of a crutch. DW the right tool.....sometimes.
Toronto has been using this technology for years (http://www.enwave.com/district_cooling_system.html), taking water from deep in Lake Ontario and cooling office towers downtown. No worry about the lake warming up - it gets refereshed every year with this thing called "Winter".
Years ago we found our FTP server was full. It was hacked and contained all kinds of movies and xbox games. We just happened to like movies and xbox games, so we gave it a bit more space.
I used to play Duke Nukem 3D multi-player over Kali (on the net) with Friends. It was a lot of fun. I've never been able to get it working properly on the 'net with anything newer than Win98. I used to keep a separate box round, just for that. I've probably tried a dozen emulators, not no luck. I miss my laser trip-bombs. Not even DOSBox could make it work.
The Harper government has recently muscled in on political control over what government scientists can say publicly. The tar sands (re-branded as oil sands) is an ecological disaster. The list goes on. Don't expect sanity from this band of leaders.
Nothing will be able to stop my Fake Crime Street Theater gang. I'll keep those snoopers glued to their monitors for years. Crimes that never happen. Victims who don't exist. Jam the system.

The same argument could be made for server-side languages.
Toronto already uses cold water cooling for air-conditioning many of its office towers in the downtown core and has for many years. (see: http://www.enwave.com/dlwc.php). Unless winter never visits Canada again, this is cold body is self-replenishing.
In college I built a divide-by-eight counter in pneumatics. One reciprocating cylinder was the "clock" signal, the rest was a bunch of pneumatic shuttle valves. Problems arose because I kept needing to increase the air pressure to move some of the switches because they were spring-loaded. The air hoses started to pop off their fasteners so it took a lot longer to get the assembly working that I had anticipated (talk about blowing a circuit). It did manage to get me an exemption from the rest of the labs though.
I always thought the abused word was "REVOLUTIONARY".
"It's a revolution in _________"
Small minds can only think of big imaginary things, especially in the marketing department.

This is insulting to journalists.

"a carefully orchestrated exposure of a fraudulent religious organization".
Aren't all religions fraudulent? Show me the evidence.
Someone in an apartment above my local Starbucks named their network "This coffee sucks". It certainly gave me a smile.

So the author of the article is somehow responsible for the site's design?
I hear if you coat the wire in blue sharpie it makes it work even better!

8-bit Atari is to Atari is like Duke Nukem is to Duke Nukem Forever.
Isn't this already called "tutoring"?

I'm going to patent the process of patents. Nyah!
This will be the death of us all.

This reminds me of the blue marker on the rim of a CD trick from the 90s. Of course that was bogus too.
I guess magic has more power when you're dumb and rich.
