The Beeb is OK for non UK news but anything that touches British politics is biased as hell since the Tories had a word with them about their funding options. Laura Kuenssberg is a disgrace and should be removed as political editor.
Americans put a computer in charge of the nuclear button. Computer realises Russia has done the same. Computer gang up on humans.
Some great scenes of Colossus being powered up, good ideas and not much of the 'WTF?' you usually get when films try and portray computers.
Once we no longer have to follow EU rules, you can bet employment law in the UK is going to be skewed far more towards the employer - this sort of example is the UK's future.
Massively underrated IME. Luckily we have a few lifers here but i've lost count of the number of times we have had no idea why something is the way it is or some subtle wrinkle that's non obvious in how something gets processed. People that have years and years of experience often fill in gaps that would otherwise cause big problems.
I had a book as kid that was published in the very late 60's or early 70's that was all about The Future. It covered a pretty broad base and by and large is panning out nicely - big flat screen TVs, working from home, automating medical analysis etc. On farming, it had robot vehicles being computer controlled with the 'farmer' sitting in front of a bank of screens monitoring it all.
Not really. The only thing special was they managed to be "terrorist of the day" when the tech ability became possible. If the IRA (suitably funded by the US, thanks for that) were still at it, they'd have used them as an excuse.
And if someone isn't vaccinated and you are, then who cares?
I care. I care for others, not just myself.
Even if someone close to you gets smallpox and you are vaccinated
Smallpox? That'll be the disease that was eradicated in 1980 due to widespread inoculation. Despite your claim, there are several diseases that no longer exist.
Shouldn't your children be immune if you "vaccinate" them?
They will be, yes but there is also the need for herd immunity. Some people will fall through the net, some may not tolerate the vaccine, some may find it didn't work (they are outliers but it does happen). If the 99.9% are vaccinated, chances are A) they'll be fine and ideally B) The disease will disappear.
Meanwhile, feel free to mess it up for the rest of the population because evidence means nothing to you.
My son is 15 and has a GoHenry card. He can buy all his Xbox games/addons etc online plus most of the money only gets released to him when we as parents confirm various chores have been done. Genius.
Wow. Apart from a few relatives who live a long way away, I don't know anyone religious. Is it still a thing? It's really quite surreal to literally not see or hear anything religious for months on end and when it pops up, it's actually quite a surprise. Doubly so on here.
Some voted because they were told the GBP350m a day we give to the EU (We don't, it's much less) would go to the NHS instead. They back tracked on that within hours of winning
Some thought we'd repatriate EU immigrants. We won't be, it has just been voted on by the government.
Some voted exit as a protest and didn't expect to win and now regret it
Within hours, certain areas of the country were demanding the government would make up the lost EU subsidies they'd just voted to lose
There are still plenty of people who are happy for Brexit but probably not enough to swing it if there was another vote.
They are currently riding the high from leaving the EU
A) We haven't left yet. We haven't begun to leave yet. All we did was have a vote on if we should.
B) Pretty much everyone I know is bloody angry at the result, the economy is tanking and most of the stuff that was promised by the leave campaign has evaporated and many who voted leave are now regretting it.
We're 51st in the ranking. Quite a lot of people have less space. It's a myth. I'm guessing you live in the south where density is muvch higher. Other parts of the country and sparse. Until fairly recently (1990s I think) you could have fitted the entire population on the Isle of Wight.

Seems some guy in US without any real qualifications is offering stem cell treatments for eye problems.

Other countries do a bit better than that (assuming your in the US, from your quoted estimate)

The politicians do the will of the corporations. The people have been a secondary concern for some time.

Stop confusing things with facts and logic.

I've not seen a check/cheque in about ten years - can you still get them?
No, me too. It's a common phrase in the UK to describe pedos.

Still, they buy an awful lot of our weapons so we'll just keep on turning a blind eye to all this stuff.

Have a hearty virtual recommend.

Wrong. Very. We are 51st in the world at 262 people per square KM. By comparison, The Netherlands is 407, Belgium 371, Bermuda 1,254
Exactly. It's only the top ten ISPs who are required to block, I believe. The rest (mine included) are wide open.
Although once you have enough money to be comfortable, that extra time is far more valuable.
