Well, the Russian soldiers alternatives were -
Get shot for certain by your commanding officer if you didn't fight
Or, probably get shot by the Germans if you did.

That kind of motivation beats a draft any day!

Funny enough the 2 brand new Dells I bought for one of the labs where I work both have floppies, parallel ports (and even a serial port!), and PS/2 connectors. And I am using every single one of these "useless" ports to hook devices up to. You see, just becasue Apple doesn't want everyone to use them does not automatically make my older printers, keyboards, mice, and floppies instantly obsolete and "useless" to me. Some of us (with very limited budgets at work) need to make do with what we have and keep using things until they actually no longer work, not until Apple deems them no good any longer. (But then again people on a tight budget are usually not buying Apple.)

That is becasue the DRM "anti-counterfeiting" measures only serve to punish people who legally buy the game - obviously the pirated version will have such silly restrictions absent. This has happened to me twice in the past also - paid for a game only to have the DRM it was packaged with not let me run the game I had purchased. Had to go out and get the pirated version even though I had paid for a legal copy already. Which took me all of about 2 minutes to find. Yay for the companies adding all this crap into their software. Obviously it is working as there are no more places to download pirated versions of software!

What if I sell a lot of Ebay stuff from my house? Where do you draw the line? I also wouldn't think Comcast would turn down extra money for an internet account if you were willing to pay it. I know people who have "business accounts" in their residences because they wanted all the things you stated and were willing to pay. Comcast was more than willing to take their extra money. Maybe their rules are different for your location - with Comcast it is hard to find consistency in their policies nationally.

If you are experiencing symptoms a mere few hours after eating, that generally isn't food poisoning. You had an upset stomach. "Food poisoning" is thrown about way too much and does not mean you suffered ill effects from food.- it means a specific food borne illness is present in the food. If it had actually been food poisoning, there would have likely been a large outbreak, and believe me you KNOW when it really is food poisoning. You are very sick for multiple days and usually need to be hospitalized. Having the squirts after eating Taco Bell isn't food poisoning - it is just what happens. And eating pizza hot when it arrives is safer than trying to cool it down. The danger zone for bacteria is between 40 - 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Food that is heated to over 140 degrees can be left out at room temperature for up to 4 hours before it would need to be either above 140 or below 40. Putting warm pizza in the fridge right away will actually put it in the danger zone faster than if you just ate it.
