No, I don't really have any data - I'm not a research or a scientist or even a statistician - I'm just a dude make extrapolated and somewhat-educated guesses and posts on Slashdot (like almost everyone else here!!). However, most teenagers (not living on their own - and a majority of those around 18 or under are not living on their own yet) do not have to worry about bills or mortgages or rent or anything like that, so most of the money they would get is pretty disposable, yes? Is it a lot? Perhaps for some, they may not obtain a lot of money... still disposable, however.
Never said teenagers SPEND more time online, they just have more time to be able to do that. Many teens also go out and do things with their friends... shop... go to concerts... watch movies... *BUY* (sing sing) stuff at the mall... break the law... won't sat off my lawn... etc. I can see how senior citizens are more connected as the younger crowd, but because of age/health, may not (or even NOT WANT to) get out nearly as much. Also, just because they are online more, doesn't mean they catch on more quickly then younger people. I know many non-tech people aged 50+ and while they have been online in one form or another for several years, they are about as tech savvy as any tech-idiot would be. Not all of them are that way and the age gap is slowly closing (as people who approach retirement are more and more coming for a internet enabled professional workforce).
As for Canada: I nothing about Canada - I live in Oklahoma.... The State Canada is too far north for us to care!
*looks around paranoidally*
THEY only care because they tend to have more disposable income at their fingertips for making purchases and *generally* more disposable time to blow online - not so much how their opinion of BitTorrent influences people older than them.
(retired people have the extra time, but they certainly do not *necessarily* have the disposable income part and not as savvy (yet) on the intardwebs as most teenagers are)
A lot of corporate entities didn't upgrade to XP from 200 for a few years either. Some places STILL run a significant number of 2000 workstations and some servers.
Also, did Apple come running out of the gate with their first iPods being the best seller? I don't think they did, took them a little bit to outdo the competition. I'm not saying MS will or will not get significant market share eventually; I'm just pointing out the fact that it may take some time to tell (a year or two perhaps?) and MS knows that.
Not true. The N64 sold (about 32 million) approximately 10 million more units worldwide than the GameCube ever did (about 21-22 million). Also, the N64 sold 500K units in *24 hours* (I have no data to verify if the N64 sold at least another 200K in the following two weeks, however). Yes, this info is easily on Wikipedia - other places too with a bit of research.
Not sure, but Red Steel has had lackluster reviews on gameplay and the dev-team always had some issues with the control - i.e. the small targeting "reticle" (i.e. once the remote moves out of this small reticle, the player turns). Your sensor bar may be fine, the game may just suck:)
I guess they did, except there will probably be more stock by the end of the week. At least for the day after thanksgiving sales. Nintendo has always been pretty decent on getting restock *most of the time*.
I thought it just meant to read more in general. I read the teaser... then I saw "read more", so I picked up a random book and started reading. "Moby Dick" sucks, just to let you know!
Both SSB (N64) or, even more so, SSBM (GC) FTW. Had countless hours of playing match after match (esp. SSBM). SSBMs built in tournament tracking system is somewhat nifty too.
tried it on an 32 bit XP system (SP2), under IE6, I downloaded and installed the App/ActiveX control and set local.live.com to be a Trusted Site... and still IT NO GO
Still not FREE. Maybe AFFORDABLE or even a REALLY GOOD DEAL. However, it is certainly not FREE, so they should not use that word, IMNSHO. I LIKE CAPS, OMGWTFBBQ.

AND Sensors too! You see, Wii has this thing called the "Sensor Bar" - i think it has something to do with sensors!
37 cocks...
I know personally at least 5 people myself who purchased a Wii. Someone bought them, I can find one to buy right now :)
Don't you mean the *Hammer Brothers* method? O SNAP!

Apples: Tart, high acidity, the skin is relatively non-edible, the #1 fruit for breakfast juice.

OOPS... did I forget to proofread?
Well, some of us can't. Our wills are as weak as our bladd.... OMG GOTTA PEE!
Parasite Eve (I & II) made by SquareSoft for the PS1? The first game being based on the book "Parasite Eve".
Perhaps Square is banking on the fact the PS3 will be somewhat affordable by the time they release FF XIII?
"100x more respectful than anything at G4"
Anything times zero... is still zero!!!!
Because we know the Zune has so much to do with the PS3.
????????

I can execute the file... in fact, I have installed the damn thing three times in a row. it may be my user privleges (it's a work computer)
