Only if RIM finally goes out of business and companies are forced to support at least MS Active Sync (because it works on almost every smart phone) or preferably some open standard. Note to people who love their Blackberries, their best model is garbage compared to any of the current iPhones, Pres, Android phones or even (shudder) Windows Mobile Phones. Demand your companies stop buying these pieces of trash with no useful functionality and horrendous user interfaces.
Well in that case..I am using an original iPhone I purchased a week after release and it has never dropped a call. I have easily sat through over 10,000 minutes of calls I wish would have dropped.
Despite all the jokes and people with anecdotal 56k stories....Lots of people post video on Facebook now, AT&T is right and the author is a Luddite.....
I read two-three books a week on my DX and if I am not using the wireless much, it lasts me more than a week on a charge usually closer to 2 weeks. I also spend a lot of time talking to people about (Two flights a week almost every person I sit next to has a question) and many of them do indeed seem to pout about the color.
I have no desire to look at a backlit screen after spending the day with a computer. One day they will perfect color eInk, and then there really will be a revolution.
My Kindle will display books in Mobi, PDF, PRC, TXT and AZW formats. I am not aware of any free content that can not be viewed on the Kindle DX. I guess I am just not feeling all that locked in...
Net Applications measure OS Identified by Web Browser Share not Market Share and not really anything relevant to market share. Please correct the summary. (I did not notice tfa calling it fms)
Except of course this is not an iPhone nightmare, it is a Jailbroken iPhone nightmare. You should not have taken the extraordinary steps to jailbreak your iPhone if you have absolutely no idea what you are doing. Nothing anyone has bought from the app store has installed a vulnerability (yet anyway).
Once you decided to jailbreak your iPhone, you forfeited your right to complain.
And nothing in their article is helping with that. They assume they are exploiting a software vulnerability. If I know there is a software vulnerability, there are 1 million and 1 less complex ways for me to blow right by any inline scanner. (One stupid enough not to look and see what the actual bytes were anyway)
Guess you missed their "compromised" machine assumption. "..After successful exploitation of a software vulnerability, we assume that a pointer to the shellcode..." . The sky is not really falling any faster today than it was yesterday.
Thanks, I read the article after I posted. So they discovered a way to attack machines that have already been compromised..If your security is relying on an inline inspection for specific commands, you have already lost. All that reading to change three words.
This is no different than adding any other shell...If your security is relying on an inline inspection for commands specific to a particular shell, you have already lost.
So umm.. Billy Jean? I am not sure if it is in anyone's library of reference tracks for testing audio equipment.
In any case why is the/. article trying to draw a conclusion that the original article did not. They were not comparing peoples ability to distinguish bit rates, they were comparing two music services. Would be nice if the people submitting stories would RTFA, I imagine if they wanted to compare bit rates they would use a source where they would take a single source and encode at various bit rates and try to eliminate the 50 variables present in their existing methodology.
Most people have a reasonable chance of avoiding identity theft with common sense and no anti virus at all. In fact most people with no common sense have a reasonable chance of avoiding identity theft with no software at all. Is identity theft a problem yes? Is saying people will have their indetity stolen without using pay software disingenuous and bordering on fraudulent absolutely.
Why do we have an FTC if not to lock up people like this? If he is not inside a jail cell in 6 months, the commission should be disbanded.
Really? Which cheaper devices let you read books on a 9" screen and automatically synch free and paid content over 3G without any recurring service costs? One link to any device that does all that and more and costs less will be sufficient. I will even give you a freebie, your device can include the long term eye strain from reading on a backlit device..Still nothing..That is kind of what I thought...
I think the n810 is a great device, the comparison is like comparing apples and monkeys.
He did have a hormonal imabalnce, they said he had very serious health issues and would return to work in June. All of that is true. The press thinks it has a right to know everything about everyone. Apple provided all of the information any investor would need to make an informed decision.
If you did not have insurance for the past 61 days or longer and then went to get some because you find out you are sick, you will find your self 1) Paying a lot more than $100 a month for the plan on your own
2) Pay the full cost of treatment on your own for 12-24 months
If you could not afford that you would bankrupt yourself and wait till it became an emergency and expect me to pay for it. I am not sure where they "choice" is to have insurance in America. Taxpayers already pay for other peoples healthcare in the US, we just do it in the absolutely most inefficient way possible and at the most expensive point of the treatment cycle. The system is broke, the sooner you recognize that, the sooner you can stop looking foolish on/.
Why does this "story" exist. It is a Mozilla press release I suppose, not clear what value or new information was conveyed in the summary or the FA.
Verizon should give up since their 3G network is about the same speed in actual use as AT&Ts edge network,

Boy, 2010 should be an interesting year.

Every Western (and I am sure most Eastern :)) country has a similar law, the trouble is not legislative.

People are going to great lengths to pretend like there are vulnerabilities in the iPhone. This is a Darwin worm and not much else.
I actually agree it was good looking and a fairly interesting read.

Huh?
What great and useful app out of that group is missing from the iphone because it was ejected by Apple.
*crickets*
Java is slow. If you took the same algorithm and coded it in an efficient compiled language, it would be faster. Much faster.

Insurance companies cannot drop patients for developing a covered condition during their coverage. Been completely illegal for over 20 years.
