They have been. That's why AOL is in so much finanial trouble. Most of us had an account at one time or the other in the past. Anymore it's for people that don't know any better or are hooked on their in system services, private forums and such. It got a lot of people onto the internet but it's a slow moving dinosaur that until recently clung onto dial up as there only option. They should have been an early adopter of high speed. More than likely they'll get spun off and sold to another company. They have some value in their loyal user base but they have zitch growth potential which makes it a dog of a company.
This explains Dunke Nukem Forever! They're just waiting for everything to be developed so they can implement it in!
Actually they decided to delay the release until time travel is perfected so they can hit their original release date. Other software manufactures are looking into this method of release. Microsoft is said to be excited with this strategy since it gives them hope that they could prevent the release of ME and avoid a great deal of suffering by all parties.
I've always said don't be afraid of global warming fear the backlash, global cooling. Historical fact, warming brings on radical cooling. If you want to see something truly scary look at maps of the ice sheet from the last ice age. Half of the US and virtually all of Europe and Canada are under ice. Can't happen in our lifetimes so who cares? Sobbering piece of news. The latest word is the process can start over a few years. What we could see is year round snow in the northern half of the US. The little ice age about 800 years ago came on sudden and so did the much larger one about 8,000 years ago. We're overdue for a major ice age so it's debable if humans as we know them will ever see the end of it, we may be considered a new species by then. Can't be stopped so why bother? Well I'd much rather see it take a few thousand years to happen than a few decades. Abusing the environment tends to cause a rubber band effect. It stretches as much as it can then breaks. The breaking being shudden climate change. Keep drivin' the SUVs and break out the snow shoes boys.
As far as I'm aware, they're not paying the virus anything for it's work. They also have no choice in the matter.
Have we really sunk so low as to sink back to using slavery in order to make a few lousy batteries?
Palm caluses are a common problem but I'm assuming this was simply an oversight since they do mention a related issue, poor eyesight. Fortunately failing health generally eliminates the need before actual blindness sets in.
For my money Blu ray seems the better format but I have to admit Sony's track record is pretty miserable so if I had to bet I'd have to go with HD as having a better chance of surviving. Not sure how practical dual system machines would be? Probably more licensing than technology these days. Just hate to invest in yet another format that won't outlive my movies. 20 to 25 years seems the best you can hope for from any format. Laser lasted about that long and so did VHS, Beta lasted a while but not half as long as VHS. Although Beta is still a popular professional format. Wide spread adoption will save DVD from an early grave. The technology is already growing old but people wouldn't buy into dropping the format this early.
Ah yes. The little old ladies who after twenty years of using them has yet to master entering amount and punching yes now have to figure out how to send their grand kid $20 for his/her birthday. I can't wait. Just got to decide how best to clock them? A watch, hourglass, sundial or calendar? Choices do not equal convience they tend to make things inconvient. Fast food used to be all but seconds for your order now it can be as much as fifteen minutes or more. Sit down restaurants are sometimes faster. We need better services not more services crammed into one place. People asked for better cell phone service so the companies said oh you want games. The people of coarse said no we meant clearer calls and to get a signal in more places. So they give us camera phones to solve the problem. Corporate america doesn't get it and they never will. Availibility of most things has gone up but quality and service have consistently gone down.
New evidence has confirmed that the Universe does in fact have mass. Science advisor for the Bush administration was quick to point out that this is a theory and there was still no hard evidence. "The Bible makes no mention of the Universe having mass so we'll have to wait until a method is devised for weighing the Universe. We don't want any more psedoscience like that Darwin character was spreading."
How long before most domestic animals including man are chimeras? If adding a single animal or plant gene you could add fifty years to your life expectancy or leave you immune to cancer would you do it? At what point do you cease being human? It's just one gene but it's not a human gene. What about a hundred years down the line when most people have dozens of extra genes? Are we still human? Could we wind up multiple species? Maybe different groups have different added genes and some no longer can interbreed. By definition some or all can't be Homo Sapien. If none could mix with a modern human would we in effect be extinct?
Another FYI, disintergrating matter doesn't make it go away it refers to it breaking the strong bond which releases a huge amount of energy, atomic bombs anyone? Driving a broomstick sized matter ripper through a foot of steel would easily release enough energy to kill everything in the room, probably everything within a 1000'. Physics 101, energy can't be created or destroyed. You destroy matter you release energy and it's got to go somewhere. It'll express itself as heat, radiation and expanding gases any of which can kill you. Star Wars isn't normally considered Science Fiction but is closer to fantasy so normal physics need not apply.

I couldn't figure out why they hired Richard Simmons as a programmer?
"Please step away from the notebook".

It's okay the original virus came from Mexico.
You have a chance to complain in November and again two years after that.
The Japanese are currently trying to clone them the answer the most important question of all, how they would taste with rice.

when they form the number 42 with their bodies. Makes me wonder if we aren't the fourth most intellegent rather than third.

Every time I type in "Porn" it takes me to a site on Mao. I thought it was a typo at first.
