For 1000% increase you would have to have 11 times as many postings this year as you had last year i.e. 1 posting last year and 11 postings this year meaning there are 10 more i.e. this 1000% increase. I was born in one of the eastern block countries and every time I look in the media these days a very uneasy feeling overwhelms me - all the strores are somehow 'almost' true but together they do not convince. The 'good' guys in Kiev are not people I would like to socialize with or have in government of the country I live in. As much as I am sorry for the people in Ukraine that have to suffer because of this I do not see any side I can honestly and with ease of mind support. Which to me means not meddle with Ukrainian affairs and send enforcements to Baltic states just to be on the safe side. But as it is usually the case we will be lucky if the only cost of this for us will be more our tax money transferred trough Ukraine to oligarchs all over the place.
What Russian troops? Judging how discrete and precise Russian military has been over decades I would imagine we would have seen quite some more mayhem if they were involved. The proving photos are also not helping to draw any conclusions. I can believe some of these separatists could have been in war as part of soviet or Russian troops. The question of war material delivered to the separatists could be possibly answered positively, maybe. That was different in Crimea as the troops stationed there already and one could see on photos how regular they were. If similar were seen in the rest of eastern and southern Ukraine I am sure we would have seen that already.

Quite frankly with the amount of propganda that is being thrown at us all the time, it looks to me that no conclusion is possible. Some of the supporters of 'democracy' and Ukrainian unity are difficult to distinguish from racists and thugs. Neither current nor previous Ukrainian gov look much like they understood what human rights are either. The fact is also that the corrupt chieftain voted into presidential office last time and ovethrown by pro-western groups is the situation that happened before and the pro-western (if one can call them that) groups are apparently not less corrupt that the others - to me it looks like Ukraine is hoplessly devided, poor and unstable country with long and difficult way to stability and prosperity.

The rest does what they did before either because they have no means to solve the problem or because they do not give a flying f. about that. The point being we shall prepare for the inevitable as much as we can and hope that this will not be all life as we know change. There were already few events like this not all of them caused by rocks falling from skies so the question of we can live in new equilibrium zone is a valid one.

Somehow it got all screwed over with: extrajudicial killings (drones and what not), enhanced interrogation techniques, lying all over to get UN to sanction military actions etc which internally is matched buy militarized police force and war on drugs, complete and permanent surveillance, secrete courts, tough on crime policies which are unproductive and make US biggest prison the Western world with conditions in partially privatized prisons, that a 3rd world junta would be proud of. One still hears about human rights, democracy and other nice things but rarely sees them delivered. Something went wrong over the years it seems. There are good things in the Republic but they are more and more obscured by the ugly cloud of oppression and hypocrisy.
I see your point but what I see as bridge analogy actually more like a singled out one particular building type. You have many buildings where prefabricated parts are just put together and where say electrician or plumber just comes and make their job without much hassle and (hopefully) according to standard regulations. Then you have buildings like bridge where an architect must be there and where different parts of testing need to be done and where packaging and maintenance play a role. All this requires significant amount of project management and coordination effort whereas actual 'brick laying' activity is important but relatively small part of the activity.

That is the 'investigation' part - I vaguely recall distant past when I worked for a telecom infrastructure project where I was invited to a meeting of a crash commission. Needless to say such meetings are not held anywhere anymore. Why should they. There is namely another difference between 'brick laying' trades and SW: in SW there are gurus that tell management about their sure ways of fixing it all and produce faultless software at almost no cost. If you ask them you may even believe, until that is, you ask about failure cases of their system to which they have no examples i.e. no looking back at ruins is done in SW but wait we had that already or? Seems like we fell in a loop which is another SW characteristic that we do hardly have in building of real stuff...
digged seems to be archaic past tense of dig so maybe GP digged himself in for a few centuries. Alternatively it is used in slang (not mine - englisyshsg is not my primery language anywahhh).
I see you are worried that the real engineers developing those things have to work with so called computer scientists and this can cause accelerating pedal problem like in Toyota? I think that is a fair question but I am sure this gets squeezed in next sprint so all will be well...
