    I had no idea! I always thought GIFs were zip compressed BMPs, with a few extra stupid features added like animation.

    I am not faulting your parenting - but in my case I refused to order a SSN for my daughter. She can apply for one when, and if, she feels she needs one when she gets her first job.

    I wonder if this is feasible for many people? Probably not, as you need their SSN to claim them on taxes.

    Why would a GIF reduce the resolution and colours? I thought it would just make the file much larger.

    I think this is kind of standard for businesses that have a stake in the United States. Tech companies I have worked for have restrictions from making sales to Iran or North Korea. Isn't there an embargo? It changes almost every year it seems.

    Question from me is, how did Apple EVER be able to make sales to Iran?

    They used CGI to reproduce the actress pretty much as she looked in 1986 (or whenever). I think that is what he means by hologram.
    My problem is the actress Sean Young should have been paid for the use of her likeness. I doubt she was.
