Just a note, Palm has been is own entity since USR days. A huge orginizational gap. This will put into name (and dollars) the seperation that is already there. Foo

Way back when... I worked with some comercial software (Jane's Ships...) that was licenced to to the ROM on the SUN system it was running on. Have to change that mainboard? Put it on another system? stops working...
This is it, there aint no more. we have a 20mhz CPU and 8 meg mem. Dragonball will support 16 meg... but am thinking that the mainboard design won't cut it.

Has a connector on the bottom for the cradle which does _not_ fit other Palm cradles
Won't take that long for a revised 'Bridg' to come out either...
Well, the Vx is arround the corner (8 meg w/ faster dragonball)... And I know how to make an IIIx 8 meg... got a URL for 16 meg IIIxs?

I havn't seen all this n one message so...
the III is the original style, has the Dragonball on the main board memory on an add in card with old lcd.
the IIIx is the new mainboard with Dragonball and memory. has open card socket. new lcd.
IIIe new mainboard, less memory no upgrade/memory socket
heheheh wait till Palm spits out the next V with 8Meg & a 20Mhz Dragonball
