Will the new restrictions make *you* feel any safer to fly? Will it do anything more than increase the pain of travel?
The results...
1. the bad guys will find another way to (threaten to) blow up aircraft - just a matter of time 2. while we fly in fear (the terrorists goal is achieved remember), other attackers will find a way to attack via some other medium while much effort is focused on the air industry
Over on wikipedia's Satellite navigation system page I find it amusing that in addition to the current world super powers - France is working on their own global navigation system. Only it appears to work in reverse (terrestrial emitters and space based receivers) - interpret this how you will.
Will the devices be on different channels or something? (/me is bluetooth dumb)
I guess different devices might get different starting sequence numbers - if that sequence number changed on evry packet won't take long to loop and make a mess of things...
Three items jumped out at me when looking at some rules revisons...

The participating teams are not required to develop an Emergency-Stop system. DARPA will provide and operate the E-stop for all teams. Air to ground weapon system launched from said helicopter? 4. There is no specific requirement for general liability insurance for individual teams. See previous two items. [/snip]

Did a search on "keyboard has more buttons than I know what to do with" - in 'in titles & descriptions' link.
Returned womens suits, Palm Pilots, and laptop docking stations. Strange.
I have to wonder how this will effect the 'For-Pay' re-distributers of this type of information. Is this kind of initiative going to cut into Ovid's (www.ovid.com), ISI's and Silver Platter's (www.silverplatter.com) margins?
As a side note, I use ipfw (in my freebsd kern) to do my firewalling packet filtering. I picked it as it seemed more logical in implementation. IE: Why the fuss about ipf when ipfew is in the (FreeBSD) kernel?

Your base may have dropped "NAVSTAR" but it still appears to be part of the overall program name- at least as seen here.

Most times I use this option I end up with an empty document. It used to work - something that got fixed in new versions of MS Word?
If Openoffice can open and edit the file - can it "export" something more sane than MShtml?
I'll try it later.

This would be really cool if there was a driver to instigate a change based on an event/time of day/karma rateing.
All these nifty USB light'em'up things out there - getting kinda obnoxious.
