Oustide the financial outlay, how would they be hurt?
In this current economy isn't the financial outlay hurtful enough?
We'd spend billions of dollars doing something that we did 40 years ago rather than using that money to patch programs (especially here in the US) and alleviate some of our debt.
You'd consider a trip to the moon more important than that at this point?
Most deadlines in the government are doomed from the beginning . . . there is so much that most projects have to go through just to get considered not counting the implementation phase it is ridiculous. Until folks have actually worked within the government they'll never understand.
We use a smartcard/PIN combination to access our systems . . . but some still require at least an 8 digit alphanumeric password. Admins must use at least a 16 digit password, and we must change them every 90 days. I really hope we're able to switch to 100% two-factor authentication soon . . . and that it works.
What part of Firefly do you think needed a reboot? The whole point of these reboots is to drop the decades of cruft that have dogged down a series and made it impossible to create anything new thanks to all of the baggage. Firefly has a (too) short lived TV run and a movie. There's not really any baggage to drop.
The only thing I'd change is the dumbass execs that cancelled it before its time.
I'll second this . . . Firefly was canceled it way to soon.
If Stargate can live on like it is why can't Firefly?
I know nothing about Glenn Beck. What has he done that even remotely compares to being accused of rape?
I think a person has every right to be "enraged" if something like being directly or indirectly accused of rape is published out on the web or via an form of media.
I hated professors who pulled that crap . . . I went to a public university so there wasn't a ton of (if any) research so it was very annoying to have to deal with something like that when my tuition was paying their salary.
Its an Indian (Seminole) Casino. They don't take any chances. Not subject to any gaming commission, or other regulations they are pretty much free to do as they please.
Go to Vagas or Atlantic city or any other State regulated casinos. Avoid indian casinos all together.
The Commission’s primary mission is to regulate gaming activities on Indian lands for the purpose of shielding Indian tribes from organized crime and other corrupting influences; to ensure that Indian tribes are the primary beneficiaries of gaming revenue; and to assure that gaming is conducted fairly and honestly by both operators and players.
I'd support this if the driver was infact driving erraticlly at the time.
Otherwise the roadways would be packed with people pulled over for drinking their large Coke and eating a Big Mac while driving.
Oh sure, add yet another layer of bureaucracy that we'd have to deal with. It's hard enough just renewing your license in some cities. There is no way in the world I'd want to be forced to sit through drivers ed again.
Besides, doesn't that already happen for folks who get a certain number of points against their license or get a high number of tickets?
B) You will then spread it to others. H1N1 is contagious 3 days before symptoms show up. So you will spread it to someone else, possible someone less healthy then you.
Tons of diseases are easily spread person-to-person. If people regularly practice good personal hygiene and personal protective measures diseases such of this would not be spread so easily.
My daughter was diagnosed with H1N1 just over a week ago. Her doctor gave her tamiflu, a z-pack and some cough medicine. Her worst symptoms were a high fever ~103F and muscle aches. She recovered (thankfully) fairly quickly, but the doctor recommended that we keep her out of school for a week. I'd imagine that was to prevent her from spreading it or from catching something else while in a weakened state. I think my wife had a mild case of it a day or two afterwards, but recovered pretty quickly as well.
I heard that all doctors were treating folks with flu-like symptoms like they had H1N1 whether they really had it or not.

Best Buy? Don't you mean Buy More . . .
Well, what was the reason for doing it in the first place? Why not do it because we can?
How would humans benefit from going back to the moon?

Good point. Stargate on Showtime was much better.

That's why I don't use my real contact info for my Mafia Wars account . . . I'm not sure why anyone would.
The MPAA is arguing that if they could directly turn those plugs on and off, they could offer more goods to consumers.
Could and would are two completely separate ideas . . .
I would've been shocked to find out that more than a handful of professors at this college were doing research.
I know nothing about Glenn Beck. What has he done that even remotely compares to being accused of rape?

I was simply responding to your comment about how they are "free to do as they please."
They are not . . .

I got a license in Arizona back in 1995. Had I still lived there, it wouldn't expire for 20 or 25 years.

What about those folks who can't drive even when they're not on the phone?
Or something that zaps them in the butt when they stray from their lane . . .

A self-cleaning shower head . . . oh the irony.
Spray some Windex on it!
Pffffft. Like any of you have spoken to any attractive women.
