    It's easy for stuff to be 50% less in a factory town where works are just meat and they work super overtime with no overtime pay. Also over seas it costs less to pay off / bribe gov into looking the other way over them breaking over time and worker rights laws.

    as some software wants to update useing it's own build in systems or it's own updater exe?
    Some software needs to do some Registry / file systems stuff per user for that users first time run.

    Some DRM systems need admin to run right.

    What about the apps that need to run as admin to work right and running it as them "themselves" will not work?

    For some of that newer software is coded to work with UAP but lot's of older apps are not.

    some stuff does not need admin to take over the system even more so when it uses old windows 3.1 or 9x holes that are still in XP, vista and 7.

    The old code is not holes but old printing or other sub systems that are not in use any more but the code base that that old system used is still in the windows code base.

    At my old high school the card system did not work that well at times.

    This was years ago but what I saw was Power over Ethernet cash registers / POS with 2? Line mini LCD's that did not work that well. Some student said they were getting over billed on their cash / free lunch card. The systems when down many times and lunch stuff had to write the card numbers down and the cost of the food. Some times when paying with cash they would ring it up look at the price (to high) says that's not right and have to start over. It seemed like it had a poor keyboard that doubled press at times.
