The mini is better then the old one but $600 and only 1GB of RAM??? - 128 for on board video? and 160gb hd? the $800 system still has a same cpu so $200 for just about x2 the hdd space and x2 the ram should of added 256 - 512 vram THAT DOES NOT come from system ram and a 7200rpm HD.
Imacs with on board video at $1,499.00 and $1,799.00 when the old ones had better cards with there own ram. Apple has lost it.
Even if you have pay $300 - $500 for mac os you still build a better system then the mac pro for less. Just watch in 6 mo when all the apple hardware is still at the same price as it is now and pc have came down in price for the same hardware with better video cards.

Are diebold voting machines just as easy or easier to hack?

Also the $1,799.00 has a weak NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 256MB memory that is just a 9500gt card.
The $2,499 mac pro has a very weak card for it's price when you can find systems for over a $1000 LESS WITH X2 THE RAM, SAME OR BETTER CPU POWER AND MUCH BETTER VIDEO.
The question is what will Psystar and others do now?

How are the cable side of things? may you can push for more bandwidth and HD channels at the same time.
Also do you have a Weather Star XL?, IntelliStar?, Weatherscan Xl?, IntelliStar based Weatherscan?
The intellistars do have back channel ethernet.
How about hosting some stuff at the head end? To cut down on bandwidth.
