They hate us because we've been meddling in their governments, undermining their sovereignty, propping up dictators favorable to us, invading them when those propped up dictators fall out favor, all for our own national self interests.

They hate us because we're infidels. Islam commands its followers to wage perpetual warfare against infidels until they convert, submit or die. The US is not the only Western country threatened by Islamic terrorists, nor is Islamic terrorism limited to just Western countries. They certainly don't like our freedoms either, as evidenced by all the women who have been "honor killed" because they wore jeans or had a relationship with an infidel.

That's true, but many players have one class that they play more than any other. I've played a spy since 1998.

I see the same complaints made by WoW and Fortress Forever players. They're repeatedly killed by another class or they're unable to effectively utilize their own class, and they start complaining that their class sucks and needs to be powered up immediately, often to an unreasonable degree.

Every class always complains that they, and they alone, have been nerfed because Blizzard doesn't care about their class. My theory is that people expect their class to be omnipotent, and when that doesn't happen they complain about nerfing and balance. It's the same thing with Team Fortress.

It's the biggest MMORPG in the world, but it shouldn't be on Slashdot's front page because you, an AC, don't personally like it that much?

Bring back the wild west. Bring back the buggy, unforseen, wild, insulting, violent mess that was Ultima Online back in the early years.

If it's anything like PvP realms in WoW, it has to suck tremendous amounts of ass. Paying a monthly fee for the priviledge of getting ganked and griefed once every five minutes by some psychopath is not my idea of fun. You're essentially paying the developers to constantly interrupt and ruin your game.

The person who tries to escape is seeking liberty, and that is deeply respected in the law. The basic desire for freedom is implicit inside every man, so trying to escape cannot be considered a crime.

Freedom is given priority over other values, including prison security.

In other words, what happens to innocent bystanders is of no consequence. The right of a prisoner to escape and evade capture takes priority over everything else. Mexico doesn't seem to understand the purpose of prison and how it relates to public safety, unlike more developed countries.

Meanwhile a small company called Blizzard is raking in several times what that horse armour costs EACH month PLUS they charge 5-6 times for an upgrade. Oh okay so their upgrade is a lot bigger, but people been paying them a monthly fee for years and they still want more AND get it?

It's not about the money, it's about what you get in return. The horse armor upgrade is so utterly trivial that asking money for it is preposterous. WoW's monthly fee is perfectly justified and people are willing to pay it. Most singleplayer games, which cost between 50 and 70 euros depending on the platform, will last you for a few days or a week. WoW is a game that you can play for years, and you only pay ~12 euros a month. You also get constant updates, some of which feature additional content or major changes to the game.

WoW only has one expansion so far, and it's a big one. There's nothing unreasonable about charging money for that. Oblivion also has expansions (smaller ones), which is what you should be comparing BC to.

It annoys me to no end that we have scientists spending their lives trying to disprove Nessie and Bigfoot with the argument "someone would have seen it by now" ... people seen both, but the scientists are too stupid and arrogant to figure out that Nessie, Bigfoot, and the "Abominable Snowman" (i.e. the Yeti) DO NOT WANT TO BE FOUND.

Or, you know, they just don't fucking exist and you have no proof of the notion that these mythical creatures have arbitrarily decided they don't want to be found, and are magically able to avoid detection. Unlike you, these "stupid and arrogant" scientists don't just randomly make shit up.

As soon as a bunch of stupid humans go out in the woods and setup a bunch of cameras and test stuff, something like a Bigfoot would leave the area. He, ..she, It? can probably smell them from a mile away, and they are pretty sure they are looking for them and no good will come of their being found.

And you know this how? Bigfoot's existence has not been proven and you're already explaining what kind of abilities it has and how it behaves.

There is just of stuff we take for granted today that was thought to be magic, bullshit, or evil. Someday some scientist or researcher will figure out what ghosts are and then it will just be another fact we take for granted.

Just because we figured out the world is round doesn't mean ghosts exist.
