    I like the way PC gamer sites label each graph LOWER SCORES ARE BETTER or HIGHER SCORES ARE BETTER.

    It already says that:

    Hey, Lotus Notes is used by CIA and many governments all around the world. I don't think they chose it without auditing.

    This is completely different. What the grandparent said that "username.ml@gmail.com" would automatically go to "usernameml@gmail.com". Gmail just ignores dots in e-mail addresses.

    I understand that nVidia has many patents on 3D graphics technology that are licensed by Intel and AMD/ATI. They could easily cross license theirs with x86 patents.

    There is no guarantee that your uber-creative code won't be maintained by "normal" people in the future. Coding standards are for everybody.

    If you are writing software for yourself, go ahead and write obfuscated Perl. But if you write for somebody else, please adhere to some kind of standard.

    If a program doesn't offer any options in terms of what to install, it shouldn't offer an online installer as there isn't really any benefit to doing so.

    Well, it guarantees that you are installing the latest version but I don't think that it's a real benefit either.

    If you are using Firefox, just disable the AVG addon within Firefox addon manager. You won't get the big exclamation mark.

    Not necessarily. My notebook's 10.6" screen is natively set to the exact same resolution (1366 x 768) as my 42" HD-Ready TV.

    What does "life-size" mean? Isn't it dependent on the screen size?

    A 22" monitor has %34 larger area than a 19" one. Since the whale is 3 dimensional, it translates to a difference of %55.

    1. Notes 8 is not new. It has been almost a year since they released the gold version.

    2. Express licensing is not new. Again, for 3-4 years they have been selling express versions of Domino/Notes. Basically, you can install as many servers as you want with this licensing (which is very cost-effective with geographically distributed companies).

    I heard many bad things about Notes, but this is the first time somebody claims that full text search doesn't work as expected. It predates almost every search engine and works like a charm. Yours must be a configuration or corruption issue.

    If you configure the browser to connect to the bank's site but nowhere else, who can exploit the vulnerability in the browser?

    But it is still a bad idea. While I am working, I want to do some banking stuff several times a day. If every time I need to restart my notebook it would suck. I might start using a VMware instance but not every bank customer is able to.
